Official Jon Gruden Thread XLIV

Looking back at the video of the guy yelling at Currie about Gruden. Currie was still in good graces. Could you imagine what it would be like if he had to make that same walk today? Or any time in the future, for that matter. I don't see how he keeps his job, nor do I see why he would want to.

Next time he is seen on campus, he will have security. I'm guessing he received multiple death threats or bodily harm threats. If I am him, I resign today. It isn't worth it.

Then the step should be fixing the admin.

But since that isn’t likely, I’d take Will Healy over Tee.

Definitely need to fix the administration, but Im guessing we get a coach before that happens. Maybe not, maybe they fire everyone and get it straight before, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not good with either of those. Jmo.

From poster on TOS about QB club meeting today

"Jimmy Hyams spoke . Mullens played Currie, why did Currie go the Bahamas and not keep pressure on Mullens to become UT coach???
Was Memo of Understanding signed by President and Chancellor? Don't know.
Currie, Jim Haslam and Peyton Manning approved of Scharino. Peyton contacted former players to get behind the hire.
Hyams asked the audience if anyone would want to hire Kiffin and ONLY 1 hand out 250 raised their hand to hire Kiffin
No Interm coach
The only way for people to get behind this new coach is by Winning fb games.
Where will UT go for a coach? Don't know
Cutcliffe is 63 years old and is he up to the challenge. Cut would have taken job after Kiffin left if he had been offered the job.
We don't have quality players to compete with other power teams in this league. Lossing 4 players to the NFL killed this team this year.
People spoke up about Jim Haslam hurting this program regardless of all the good he has done for the University.
Jim Haslam walked Currie into the Board meeting and said Currie was the new Athletic Director and Anderson said no and walked out the door and slammed the door behind him.
Les Miles has contacted a UT booster about the job.
John Majors likes Schiano"

Haslam has been strong arming our University to fit his agenda. He has got to GO now along with Currie! I urge everyone to not give up until he and Currie are dismantled from their positions

I'm sure Coach Majors wasn't clear on that question about his take on Schiano. I am quiet certain that majors thaught he was asked: "Do you like shots of Disaronno?"

That is the one thing I guess I NEVER totally understood

Because it keep our attention on him for info. And when he dispenses it we take it elsewhere and share.

He isn't here to argue and wait for responses from those clowns. He is here to motivate us and get his side out. Not to debate.

Next time he is seen on campus, he will have security. I'm guessing he received multiple death threats or bodily harm threats. If I am him, I resign today. It isn't worth it.

I don't see why he would want it anymore either.

Is anyone working on the coaching search while that other dumpster fire is going on?

You know Currie is hoping to pull something out of his ***

Although, like Butch and Dooley, he will be happy to kick back and collect a nice fat monthly check should he get terminated.

He will force the university to fire him and collect checks for a long time. And probably get a job with the Browns.

This is what I think. He sold out his alma matter for his future career.

Peyton Manning has been behind the Gruden deal from the very beginning.

Hyams has been the biggest joke since these threads began...

Now everyone is taking what he says as gospel.

Hyams hangs from the same strings as Currie.

Of course Peyton was all in for the Schiano hire. I am guessing he is the front runner for the GM of the Browns. At this point just hire Tee and lets get to work.

Haslam needs to just go back to Ohio, start his own school, hire Davenport, Currie, Schiano, Butch, whoever else.... Then run that program into the ground on their own time. He can be happy wallowing in his own excrement, and Tennesse can move onward and upward.

(Wishful thinking)

How much longer will the GRUDEN threads be active?

Why are you so damn concerned about them? You think it harms the University in any way? You think that they tried to trot out Greg Schiano because there was an huge Gruden thread on VN? Just keep walking if it offends you so much. There is also this cool tool to where you can ignore this thread. Its under thread tools and I can draw you a map in crayon if you need it.

I don't believe it yet, but it's not just Hyams reporting Peyton was backing Schiano.
