Keep emails going folks. Tell them you will no longer donate until Currie is fired and Haslam is removed from all search committees. We can do this, keep the faith.

Good Tweet by Rucker!

WES RUCKER @wesrucker247

It is absolutely, positively 100 percent reasonable to not want your football program associated with anyone associated with the Paterno/Sandusky era of Penn State football.

Many in the national media today are really disappointing me.

.

Including Peyton...still baffleded.

I never understood why y'all wanted Gruden. His best CFB gig was TE coach at Pacific in 1989. He was fired by the Raiders. Then he inherited Tony Dungee's team and immediately won a Super Bowl. Then he proceeded to go 45-51 and was fired again.

He wasn't fired by the Raiders and it's funny that Tony couldn't win one with that team and Gruden did and he did it against the team he just built in Oakland.

So what about bringing in Fulmer as the interim and getting Tee to be the OC/HC in waiting? Could get some other VFLs to join the staff and you would have a genuine orange blooded staff, would certainly make everyone feel a hell of a lot better and it would save a ton of face.

This is gaining steam. Wouldn't be surprised to see this happen. I've posted on other threads that I'm all for bringing in Tee. I think it's a great option.

We all remember what a clusterF the process of hiring our athletic director. Out of nowhere, Currie is named. People are pissed and felt misled.

Same thing has happened in this situation with the same puppet master pulling the strings. The Haslam family have had way to much influence at UT and in Tennessee politics for way too long. Time for the family to go. Bill better not be named president or we will NEVER EVER get rid of their influence.

I have emailed everyone with a nice message asking for the termination of Currie.

Still dam mad he’s here. How in the world are they this incompetent.

Would absolutely be a great hire. Man knows how to win in the SEC and is a great recruiter. Also could put together a great SEC staff. Is an absolute no brainer.

Which is exactly why it won't happen, cause Currie, Davenport, Haslam all have no brains

What do you want dude?

I remember a conversation between you and I last year when you wanted Butch fired right then. (after SC). My argument was, not until we have a new AD and even then it's not a gaurentee we do any better. Now look.

Not really giving you a hard time, but we really don't have alot of choices because of our "wonderful" administration.

Then the step should be fixing the admin.

But since that isn’t likely, I’d take Will Healy over Tee.

If by fires you mean traded then yes fires.. And the team he Inherited beat the team he created

email sent:

i am writing to you as a native knoxvillian, university of tennessee alumni, walters scholar, and long-time fan of tennessee football. I have long been proud of my state, of the beautiful east tennessee area, of our hospitality, and of course of our flagship school, the university of tennessee. The day that i graduated was one of the most proud moments of my life, and i have proudly spoken of my alma mater and have continued to support the university in the 16 years since i graduated.

However right now, i have never been more ashamed of my school. John currie, along with beverly davenport and whatever booster(s) supported this hire, has made a national embarrassment of the university of tennessee. Greg schiano? Somebody who was associated with the penn state/sandusky debacle was our first choice? Somebody who may have known that sandusky was raping children and didn’t report it? After we had to settle a title ix lawsuit?

Not to mention his football credentials: Somebody who barely had a .500 record in an easy conference? Somebody who by all accounts was more abusive to players and staff than butch jones? Somebody who lost to butch jones?

The day after the worst season ever in tennessee football, and we were about to name this person as the leader of the university of tennessee football program? As our first choice?

Really?

How are we supposed to take our children to games and cheer on a team led by this person? How are we supposed to accept that he will be leading and molding young men into decent, educated, upstanding citizens? How are we supposed to accept him as a leader in our community? How are we supposed to accept that this was the first choice for our distinguished school? In a season where there are plenty of available and qualified coaches and tremendous upheaval in the college football world?

After yesterday, we, the citizens of tennessee, tennessee alumni, and casual tennessee fans, have zero faith in john currie, beverly davenport, any member of the administration or any booster (haslam) to make decisions for our university.

John currie needs to resign, forcefully if needed, and a new athletic director needs to be appointed so that we can start this search over.

Our fanbase is passionate and proud, and we have supported our university through good times and bad. We deserve far better than this dumpster fire of an athletic program and this negative national publicity.

If things don’t turn around, you will lose the 100,000+ people that meet at neyland stadium on saturdays in the fall, as well as all their money, merchandise sales, the advertising revenue, and support of local businesses, not to mention the number of quality scholars and donor money for both athletics and academics. This will hurt the value of a university of tennessee education. This will hurt the state of tennessee and even more so the greater knoxville community, and it will be entirely john currie’s fault for being completely disconnected and tone-deaf to what is needed in this athletic program.

General neyland is rolling in his grave right now, and i have never been more ashamed of and disappointed in our administration.

🔥🔥🔥

Tee, despite his lack of experience as a HC, would do well at UT so long as he had the right staff and support of the AD(which after this sh*t show the last 24 hours, anything less would be disgraceful).

Before yesterday I would have screamed no way. But, I actually think he would treat our fans with class and he actually respects our history and tradition. He wouldn’t be my first choice but I’d rather have him over an up and comer. He could do what Barnes has done for basketball.

When I heard Tony say this it was my thought as well

You can't seriously be comparing indiscretions between consenting adults to looking the other way during the endangerment of a child. Possibly the dumbest thing written on the internet today

I’m not comparing those acts you dope I’m just saying we need to stick to our guns about hiring coaches with integrity on every level.

I'm asking Gary for forgiveness but I removed the bold and sent it away via 2 of my email accounts. I used Squints(Sp?) letter earlier from 2 other business email accounts I got. I have called 3 times now and the afternoon is still young. I am full of piss and vinegar right now and ain't giving up !

You go man. Get em. Sick em. Hope many Notre do the same!
