stupid Iphone

It's astounding to me how politicians and major media outlet members, who I presume to understand basic human nature the most because their jobs are contingent on it, don't seem to understand maybe the most fundamental rule of living in the public: perception is reality. If they don't understand how the university would have been killed for this hire, then they do not understand a basic tenet of their profession.

Those calling for Randy Sanders as OC must have not been here during the 3 yards and a cloud of dust years. And I do believe we can still do better than Tee. I don't think he would touch it for the same reason Peyton said he wouldn't.

One of the most frustrating games I ever watched was the UF Alex Brown game.

Man, it is crazy trying to keep up and do any work. I am listening to Ainge's podcast, and he stated that Fulmer was not involved at all in any aspect of the coaching search. He was consulted at the beginning as a token acknowledgement and then not again. Ainge said that he was told this by Fulmer today.

Still being disrespected. SMH.

Serious question--- WHY do the Haslams want UT to be bad? Why don't they want the University they give so much to to be the best? Seriously, how can anyone that gives so much and has that much influence want their program to suck so bad? Did they get beat up by football players when they were in high school?

Also, you guys are falling in love with the idea of Tee... This program right now in this stage is way too big for him. The only prayer he would have to be successful would be to have a kick ass supporting staff.

I don't think they have some secret desire for Tennessee to be bad.

The problem lies in their desire for control and their awful decision making skills when it comes to football.

The Haslams are billionaires, they have spent their whole life getting their way, getting whatever they want. When they infiltrated the University of Tennessee it was no different. They call the shots, they have the final say.

Unfortunately for us they are terrible at deciding what is best for Tennessee when it comes to athletics. I mean absolutely atrocious. Just look at the Cleveland Browns. They have no clue what it takes to run a football program. absolutely no clue.

While the Haslams are in play, no coach with truly be able to reach their full potential. No coach will be able to do what they want to do with the program, but will have to listen to the Haslams. There is so much limitations that our program has because of the mighty House of Haslams.

Honestly I kinda understand Butch Jones being so big on having control over the media because I truly believe that is the only thing he the ability/oppurtinuty to control while being the head coach here. IDK JMO

as LWS has stated multiple times the leadership here is terrible. It's sad.

The Halsams have to big of an ego to walk away from this program and give the reigns over to someone else.

Their love for power overrides their love for the University of Tennessee.

They don't.

This is the same national media that had to be dragged kicking and screaming into covering the Harvey Weinstein story. DO NOT let them moralize to you.

FWIW On Nashville radio this morning Peter Burns said MSU wasted no time after finding out about Mullen to get in a jet and go to their #1 choice to offer the job. He didn’t know who the target was but it could be Pruitt. I hope they get him. I’d rather have Brohm if possible.

I am most pissed off that we had biggest profits in NCAAF a year ago and we started our search with Greg Schiano.

We don’t want to win. Biggest problem in regards to our entire athletics program. We don’t prioritize winning.

Wow:
Currie and Davenport, per sources on campus, had hands in both Tennessee’s decision last week to publicize false flight paths for a university jet and also Davenport’s decision to favorite a tweet regarding Jon Gruden while Currie, who met with Gruden and had discussions with him on the Vols’ job, also never shot down Gruden talk.

That has been shown from Curries statement to lie with their belief that the fans don’t know what they’re talking about. That has nothing to do with the agent

If you want to track down Sexton's standard contract addendum and read it, you'll see several clauses that UT legal counsel finds highly objectionable. UT tries to strike them, Sexton refuses and negotiations become testy and stall. Unless, of course, UTAD panics and capitulates, which we have been known to do. Twice now. Luckily, we resisted a third.

This Haslam stuff is so discouraging. We are screwed with them at the helm. No other program in the country has this kind of an albatross around its neck.
