If anyone questions Brohm, check these out and see if you still dislike him. You may not still think he’s the right coach for the hire but you will at least see the potential of a dang good FB coach.

Purdue Football: Why Jeff Brohm Should be B1G Coach of the Year - Hammer and Rails

How Jeff Brohm’s unique offense can make Purdue fun again - SBNation.com

The last one explains his offense really well. Also, he has the nations best defense in points allowed according to one of those articles. He can be a real steal. I’m all in on Brohm at this point.

I will be thrilled with either Tee or Brohm. Should already been done. So easy. #BassforAD

In 2010 when Kiffin bolted it put us in a terrible position. It took 5 years to recover and we were about to make our first hire without self imposed limitations.

And somehow we have managed to create a new 2010 situation almost 8 years later. The only difference is that it is November and not mid January. But to complicate matters in that area the early signing period pretty much makes it the same situation.

What an absolute train wreck.

Let’s take the Jimmy Sexton factor into account. Seeing as all of our former coaches have been Sexton clients except for Butch until the end and Schiano was as well doesn’t it stand to reason that Tee may get the job because of that? Especially if Currie Haslam is still leading this thing?

It seems the discussions are between Brohm and Tee. I can see the positives for both. Tee could kill it recruiting, and Brohm may be slow in getting elite talent. Brohm, however, would be fun to watch right now and would most likely beat the UK's, Vandy's, and Missouri's right away.

Hiring Tee kinda reminds me of when Colorado hired Jon Embree. Get someone in who loves the school, will assemble a staff that includes a lot of players.

Embree was a disaster. Lasted two seasons.

Tee won a NC as a player and has continuously been successful at every stop he has had in his young coaching career.

Who the hell is Jon Embree?

Chad Morris is interested in the job. Top notch offensive mind. Bring in a top notch DC and let's ride. Incredible what he has done at SMU. It's often overlooked when compared to Norvell, Frost, and Strong even though those are easier places to win. Almost beat Frost this year! Recruited and had McBride committed. People keep discounting him because Texas, but those jobs are wrapped up for several years.

#MorristoUT

I mentioned him earlier and it got no traction here.

As you know I want him as well. But the anti-Chaney folks will not like the article because it mentions the Tiller/Chaney Purdue offense as the trendsetter used today. lol.

A Dallas Cowboy tght end and Tennessee legend Jason white boy Witten has let John Currie know he would leave the Cowboys and come take over Tennessee football.

I think former player's are tired of this **** show!

The only way Cut would come to UT is if Fulmer and Peyton convinced him to do it for UT and UTAD gave him a golden parachute and autonomy to run the program his way. Fulmer and Peyton would have to override UTAD and approach Cut on a personal level. They're not going to do that. Not now.

And we can't rush and make an emotional hire. Tee could be worse than DD.

I think Tee would know, and a lot of other coaches know, that the talent on this roster is nowhere near a 4-8 team. This was coaching malpractice at it's absolute worst. A decent high school coach gets this team to 7 wins this year, and a good coach probably wins 8 or 9. Lots of talent on this year's roster.

I agree with you there. I'm not so sure about "lots of" talent but I wouldn't trust a first time first year coach. If Tee had a career arc like a Scott Frost maybe but IMO he is still green.

No Tee. No Kiffin. Isn't interesting the same people pulling for Gruden have now jumped on the Tee bandwagon? I just don't believe there is anything magical about being a "Tennessee guy." Well, other than not being scared as hell of taking this job and getting Schiano'd.

Serious question--- WHY do the Haslams want UT to be bad? Why don't they want the University they give so much to to be the best? Seriously, how can anyone that gives so much and has that much influence want their program to suck so bad? Did they get beat up by football players when they were in high school?

Also, you guys are falling in love with the idea of Tee... This program right now in this stage is way too big for him. The only prayer he would have to be successful would be to have a kick ass supporting staff.

Long story short: If we end up with Brohm or Tee, after the whole Schiano fiasco and everything that has transpired with Butch over the last 5 years, we are coming out on top with our consolation prize.

Since this is Tennessee though, we'll probably hire Jerry Sandusky or that basketball coach from Rutgers who threw chairs at his players or something. GBO, peace.
