This right here.

If Tee did come here and failed, it could set his career back for years. If I were Tee, I wouldn't touch it.

I like Tee. He's a good guy. Dooley was a fool not to hire him when Tee wanted to come home and had to settle for UK instead. Kiffin would have brought him here if he'd stayed. But now, the timing isn't right-- not for Tee or UT. Why burn the bridge?

I actually do think Tee might get a little longer leash than some other guys, but the Tee euphoria going around today will dissipate quickly when we go into that USCe game on Oct 27 at 2-5 (0-4), which is not unlikely.

I fully expect that no matter who we get. We are an awful team right now, so the next coach will have his hands full.

do you blame him for not wanting to work with Butch? Literally nobody seems to like working for him. He sucks the life out of you.

I don't blame him. Tee went to Southern Cal to further his career---if I were him I wouldn't take the risk. 4-8 is a full on rebuild...we should know better and he hopefully will..
You can more or less flush next year for whomever comes into this situation. Tee will not get a long leash either---I just don't think fans will put up with a few years of losing. Again Butch had a pair of 9 wins seasons and essentially a 4-8 year. You think fans will have patience because he was a NC winning quarterback? I don't think so.

Nobody would get players to Tennessee like Tee would.

No one would work harder for Tennessee than Tee would.

No one would unite the fanbase like Tee would.

No one would excite the current players on staff more than Tee would.

I'm not saying he should've ever been our top choice when this thing started, but we don't have our pick of coaches anymore. And as it turns out, we never really did.
And two years into it when we don't win 9 games, the honeymoon will be over.

Again, coaching in college isn't rocket science. It's about getting players, getting them motivated, and putting them in a position to make plays. Look at Clemson, look at Alabama, look at FSU, look at Ohio State. Those guys get the best players, and they have some luck along the way with injuries, and then they win. The future stars are the ones who are going to recruit well (Smart, etc.) and give them the ball. The end.

I think Tee would know, and a lot of other coaches know, that the talent on this roster is nowhere near a 4-8 team. This was coaching malpractice at it's absolute worst. A decent high school coach gets this team to 7 wins this year, and a good coach probably wins 8 or 9. Lots of talent on this year's roster.

If anyone questions Brohm, check these out and see if you still dislike him. You may not still think he’s the right coach for the hire but you will at least see the potential of a dang good FB coach.

The last one explains his offense really well. Also, he has the nations best defense in points allowed according to one of those articles. He can be a real steal. I’m all in on Brohm at this point.

I know a Louisville fan, who described him as an offensive genius.

Hiring Tee kinda reminds me of when Colorado hired Jon Embree. Get someone in who loves the school, will assemble a staff that includes a lot of players.

Embree was a disaster. Lasted two seasons.
