The boosters spoke yesterday. I think it's gotten to the point to where they will all pull their money and leave it to Haslam. There's no way they can fund it alone. Especially after the way they hired Currie when some of them didn't know it was happening.

People just don't get it. I've heard "fire Currie", all day.

Ok, then what? Haslam has another one lined up to take his spot. It's a revolving door with Haslam as the engineer.

I understand that people are mad, we all are. But when other donors can't do anything about it l, then who can? Fans can not show up but then that hurts UT.

It's a slippery slope with Haslam.

The only way to do it is to CALL their bluff. Of course that is JMO.

A&M paying $10 million buyout to Sumlin and going to spend $7.5 million per for Fisher. We were trying to get a coach with no buyout and $4 million a year.

They're paying that for someone who's won 24 regular season games in his last 3 seasons. Firing a guy who won 23 in his last 3 seasons

I 100% disagree. The idea is that it will rally the other boosters to get the nerve to stand up against them. To stop letting them walk all over the university unchecked. Yesterday showed me what this fan base is capable of when we make our voices heard.

Sure the national media is butthurt that we stopped Schiano from coming here but can you imagine how miserable we would all be if Schiano was officially the head coach. I was sick to my stomach yesterday at the thought. This is a battle we can win. We outnumber them and at the end of the day they are beholden to the all mighty dollar. The fans are the biggest booster. Not the Haslams. The one time we finally stood up against them we beat them. Who’s to say we can’t do it again?

I like the notion, but it's not going to happen. The boosters aren't going to rock the boat. They talk a big game but nothing will happen. They don't have the money to challenge the Haslams. They'll all lose their seats at the table before they force Big Jim, Jimmy, or Bill to do anything they don't want to do.

We are working on a new hot board this afternoon.

I don't have any clear direction of where they go other than starting with making Cutcliffe say no.

Other names that will be on the board in no order:

Brohm
Chad Morris
Dave Dorian
Tee Martin
maybe Jeremy Pruitt
checking on Mike Leach to see if there's anything there if you pay enough money

Working on more names and again I want to make is clear that things are murky right now.

Nope. I suggest you don't read it.

I love you man but this fanbase has gotta stop being so gullible. We need to grab some bootstraps and fight our way back to relevance. Grumours and unreliable bs posters jockeying for attention and trolling us for fun has gotta be stopped. Im tired of being a laughing stock. Help me out.

ATL radio taking up for VOL fans on 93.7 just now. Said Tennessee is screwed unless Currie goes, no one will want to work for him. Schiano was never a fit regardless of the PSU stuff.

We don’t need to consult former players for who they’d hire. We need to consult David Blackburn. A guy who has actually hired good coaches.

Peyton Manning just helped bring us a **** storm. I don’t wanna hear what Swain or JRM want.

This.

Two ways to pressure the Haslams.
1). Go after their money, so boycott until they are out.
2). Go after their political power and make it impossible for them sit at any table that invokes the school, so no School president job.

Both hard, but we have the numbers, we would just need to maintain the pressure long enough. They will bet we can't maintain the pressure long enough.

So what do you think is realistic then?

See if we can get someone we really want-- and would have been happy to hire-- last week. Make them a fair offer and sweeten as needed to negotiate a reasonable deal. Don't make a desperation hire. If we can't get a coach we want now, name an interim and move forward while continuing to work the market.

Oh geez we are gonna start our search with a 6-6 coach with a bad heart nearing retirement.

Dear lord.

No Cut please.i love him, but no one is coming here to play for him knowing he will probably retire in the next few years.

That is a panic hire. Still no need for that.
