Don't know how Currie justifies this. Either UTAD didn't vet Schiano or they didn't care about the allegations and how that meshed with Currie's "highest integrity" and "commitment to compliance" requirements. No way that disconnect was going unnoticed.

UT suspends players immediately and indefinitely at the first allegation of sexual assault/harassment. So they're okay with a HC with these sorts of allegations in his past? Perception alone should have removed Schiano from consideration.

Currie really has to be completely stupid when it comes to PR.

Already vetted for Cleveland, no need to look further. Got any questions?? Well, let me suggest you count the millions I give and then let me know what questions you have

Any idea who is acting as the AD right now and reaching out to these coaches? Or maybe none of that is true.

It never made sense with the Title IX stuff. But then again, very little the UT AD does makes sense.

This is it completely. We are so down right now the worst thing that could be done was bring in someone associated with Sandusky. That was completely ludicrous on Curries part.

Shooting straight: just don’t like Schiano. PSU stuff doesn’t factor in at all. Yet I’m supposed to be ok if he’s hired as my coach? Media is acting like that’s not a good enough reason.

I feel like we have to rally behind whomever is hired at this point. We got our one veto and it probably means some won’t be interested so let’s get someone in their and ride.

Who cares? As fans we have some right to voice our opposition to hiring a coach associated with the Penn State scandal. If that "damaged" the UT brand so be it. Some things are just more important than football.

Today wasn’t about wins or losses. It was about rejecting someone who had the slimmest of chances to cover up a crime of child molestation.

I won’t lie, I feel bad for Schiano if he didn’t know about it which there is a very good chance of, but I can not in good conscious hire someone if there is even a chance.
