What are you talking about? I supported Butch and Dooley both long past the point of rational thought. A lot of us did. Butch is a pathetic horrible coach who did it too himself. He built a program that got massacred by Vanderbilt....VANDER*******BILT!!...three out of five years!! He did not deserve to ever don the Orange and White.

Some LWS thoughts:

is this worse than Alabama's Mike Price hire? only thing I can compare it to. Can't recall any kind of screw up as bad as this one.. As anyone else ever hired a coach and then didn't want him? the fan base not want him? Some of the power people not want him?

Right now I just think a big screw up. Make some calls to potential coaches and see what kind of blow back you get. That will tell you where you stand.

hard to imagine, powers that be thought this was the best coach out there for us?? they thought it based on what I'm hearing..

my understanding is he was our # 1... decision was made a couple weeks ago

I think both GA and FL will battle it out. Don't think we'll be a factor for 5-6 years and that's if they make the right moves now. It will be a slow painful climb from this hole. John Currie has single handily destroyed UT football at the behest of the Haslems.

The media has dogged UT for more than a year. We're the most ridiculed school in CFB, and we've had the worst 12 months in school history. I think it's going to be hard to make a great hire in the current environment, especially since agents can use our situation to make outrageous demands. Unfortunately, we have nobody on staff worth promoting. We're in a jam. We'll have to bring back a UT guy like Cut or take a big chance on somebody and be very patient.
