I sure hope it is not Schiano. Do we have to settle for a guy like that. I think Tennessee will get Mullen. His last game is Thursday night against Ole Miss. Then Tennessee can talk to him. He is in the toughest league in the SEC west. He has his team compeating against Alabama and he brings in 3 and 4 star players to Miss St. So that means he can coach them up. Unlike what we have been seeing at UT. You know he can develop QBs. Dak Prescott, Tim Tebow.

With Sports Talk starting late from the OT victory...Hyams and Ferrara were discussing Currie on live tv in the Bahamas....not on a plane for the rumor mill sitings....or not searching as we speak for a hire. Hyams said a prominent booster told him the new HC will be in place by this time (yesterday) as we speak. He said the booster wouldn’t name who but the hire should be done....praying it to finally be finished so all the insane rumors will be over.

I don't think it's gruden. I think Peterson, Patterson, and others are who they are targeting first. Then they will go to the next tier...Campbell, Norvell, frost, Mullen,strong,etc.

The real reasons are clear, no need for belief. Gruden hasn't said anything because free publicity, especially fan generated, increases his viewer ratings and commercial endorsement opportunities. He might find it irritating at times, but feeling his wallet getting fatter is something he will deal with. If he comes out and expresses he has no interest, it is because he has rode it as far as it could take him. If Tennessee had offered and he wanted it, he would have announced quickly and somebody would be selling T Shirts nationwide. The 8th printing would be loaded on a truck leaving the factory right about now.

Currie is saying nothing, because he promised in the Butch is fired press conference he would have no comments until the next hire is made. Then, he may have plenty to say, but not until then. The man is just keeping his word.

I will be pleasantly surprised and estatic if he pulls off a miracle and gets Patterson or Petersen. I can get behind Mullen or Jimbo Fisher, but I doubt getting them more. Campbell or Frost will be good hires, but I will want to see their staff hires before I feel really good. Whoever it is, I think we know between Wednesday morning and Friday afternoon. And I hope he talks them into reinstating Jauan. That was BS.

I’ve thought, pretty much guessing, that Currie introduces our new coach within 48 hours of the Vandy loss to end the season. Been saying it for a couple weeks now. I think he’s been back channeling for weeks and doing his due diligence for awhile now, knowing that he was gonna fire Jones by season’s end at the latest. And I think it’s set up for him to interview his top 2-3 candidates and make a decision very quickly after the last game.

Yes you are very confused, if he’s such a big winner why isn’t he a head coach right now. Just because to took a below average Rutgers team to average doesn’t make him a great coach. I sure don’t see a whole lot of other universities lined up to get him.

People I am the most dedicated Vol on earth. I have nothing to live for but UT football. I am not able to make myself read through all the disinformation o here. I will just say that we damn well better hire Gruden,Kiffin,or as the absolute worst Miles. Period. Go Vols.

Jimmy Hyams said fishing for info that the Greg Schiano rumor is for sure not a candidate for his personality not being a fit here per the same prominent booster....and Hyams added he simply was an average HC in college in his opinion.

I am convinced what Briles did was under the orders of the same idiot who tried to impeach a president because of oral sex. He didn't witness anything. Call me crazy but I might at least get his side of it and maybe let him be on support staff until he can restore his reputation if he was not intimidating victims.

But to witness what was happening in that shower and your inaction leads to more and more kids raped and molested? I really can't understand how those guys live with it.
