What people are mad about is that we are flat screwed on offense next year.

We have 5 viable WRs for next season. We have no WR commits. And that’s assuming no one gets injured. We are flat screwed. (This doesn’t even include the OL situation)

3 year rebuild job.

We are back where we were when Dooley was fired.

There’s SPEECH and then there’s a freaking calling out video! There’s a way to express your discontent without appearing to be an entitled lunatic. ME ME ME! Get ME a new coaching staff! We are dummy! But it’s not for YOU! He did this to himself. Go hold his hand if your heart hurts.

My heart isn’t hurting.

It’s not affecting my personal life any.

I’m just simply saying that this could have been handled in a much better manner instead of dismissing the kid.

As I recall, he’s bailed Butch out on a few occasions.

I’d put money down right now that JJ wasn’t or is the only player in that locker room that’s fed up with Butch’s coaching staff.

You never know what's going on behind the scenes.

Be careful siding with anyone. There's three sides to every story.

What JJ says, what coaches say, and the truth

Currie has a vested interest in this teams success next season. Without a good reason this decision would not have been made.

Not surprised one bit. JJ should know better. He could have said that all he wanted within the confines of his family and friends, but the moment you make it public, you’re TOAST. Don’t press send!!!! Or in this case, don’t go live!!!! Farewell young man.

Everyone in this country has the right to freedom of speech.

Not necessarily I agree with how he did it but he simply gave his honest opinion on how he felt about UT’s current HC situation. Imagine playing for Butch who’s more than likely not kept promises or coached his players up to their potential level? Would you be frustrated too?

If you want to punish the kid, that’s totally understandable but to dismiss him after putting his heart & soul into this team over being frustrated, that’s where it’s ridiculous.

I mostly agree with your posts butchna but I disagree with your thinking on this subject.

You really see this as a freedom of speech issue? You are aware that only applies to the governnent taking you to jail right? Noone is saying he didn't have the right to say it, but there are consequences. Hopefully he learns that its not acceptable. But judging by all the adults taking up for it, im not sure he will.

I dont care about our offense next year. What I care about is this ignorant decision made by an interim HC. Now if Currie comes out and explains the situation and that he initiated the dismissal, then I dont have a problem.

That might have been the only way he could let fans know he wanted to play and that it wasn't his fault if he didn't get to. He's a baller and wants to be there during those big moments and big games to do what he can for the team. He's a special young man and player. I hope there is a way this can be worked out.

So let me get this straight. Our Defensive line coach, who hasn't even been part of the team for 1 year and whose unit has played horrible most of the season, was named interim coach last week and just kicked our best wide receiver off the team For stating the obvious ?

No, the AD dismissed him from the team. The rant was likely in response to the dismissal. not the reason for the dismissal.

IMO great call by Currie.

Youre calling something a great call when you have no idea what happened?
