I just heard on WKRP that Dan Mullen and Jimmy Hyams are meeting in the Virgin Islands tomorrow to discuss Tennessee's KRFL (Knoxville Radio For Life) Coordinator job. The biggest hurdle to overcome is for them to successfully end up on the same Virgin Island, since they never discussed which.

We're sure they'll figure it out. Or die trying. By cannibal sacrifice. Not saying Virgin Islanders are cannibals, just that Jimmy and Dan deserve that fate. Or something like that. Anyway...carry on.

Mullen is ok, but Mullen == Butch 2.01, imo

I don't agree. With Mullen at the helm, at the very least you know we'll have a great offense every year and a quality QBs. Mullen just continues to churn them out.

It's anyone's guess on how many wins he'll average or how the program will progress under his direction. But he's most certainly an improvement from Butch.

Only thing I get out of that is I need to hang out at our airport more. NO WAY do we let our plane that is able to be tracked publically fly to Starkville to talk to Mullen. Currie plays too close to the vest for that. Why would he fly commercial last week and then use that? Makes no sense.

Who says they are going to talk to him. Maybe the plane was sent to bring him home. I kid, I kid.

I think the constant roller coaster is getting to us all. I still have high hopes for JG, but comments from a coworker today has got me thinking...Why are we so crazy about JG but none of the other many schools with openings even mentioning him? And, if JG wasn’t in consideration, would my thoughts on Mullen or Frost be more positive?
I think the AD is trying/has tried to get JG, my pessimism is about whether or not he wants it. And “don’t take no” is just silly. I hope that if it doesn’t happen, most of us, myself included, can move on and give whoever it is a chance.

Because there is only one university that he would even consider and everybody in football knows this

Idk if this has been said, but I just watched chalk talk with Gruden and he had on the same black nike shirt he had on in the Calhouns. Now I know AV said he wasn't there but that's a weird coinidence. I would assume the chalk talk was done yesterday or Saturday.
