If he turns us down, agent should get to closing and then say "oh, sorry, the sellers decided not to sell after all."

Would be awesome! This is why I was so critical of those saying "done deal". It may happen, but there is no way it was done weeks ago and everyone has kept it quiet.

Hey trolls!!

Anyone outside of Gruden, Kelly or Frost....

And I may seriously just find a new sport to watch. I’m not even kidding. I may just got back to watching baseball or even racing. I don’t know. But I do know I can’t take this mediocre **** anymore.

Not for me. He's already 54 years old.

And if he does not come this time, Gruden has trolled all of us for his own benefit and public attention.

JMO

After the last 2 radio interviews, he would be a certified sociopath not to accept the job. A real attention monger.

In until a "no" comes from Gruden, Lamonte, or Currie.

With an 0-7 record in the conference, you have to make a hire demonstrating intent to improve in the immediate and long-term. The home-run hire gives you instant impact. Gruden's ability to connect to players and adjust to the strengths of the personnel on the squad would only build upon the short-term impact of his hire.

I refuse to believe the mindset producing this decade of incompetence continues to hold sway within UTAD.

You cannot continue hiring sewer-level coaches and expect results worthy of the University of Tennessee.

Growing up I caught the end of the Battle era. We were bad and bama started the first streak on us. It was the time of not many games on TV. My friends and I would toss around the football and listen to THE GREAT JOHN WARD.Year after year bama would win till finally I was grown. U.S. Marines 1982 on USS Iwo Jima middle of the Atlantic Ocean 2 a.m. My friends straight from the message center woke me up and gave me a paper message, No.1 Alabama lost to Tennessee 35-28. I was elated, how long I had waited for that, carried that that paper around at all times. When I went home on leave my Dad gave me a present, cassette tape of the John Ward broadcast of the game. Went to my backyard, got my old football tossed it in air listened.I was transformed back into my youth, but this time TENNESSEE WON ! Better than that a lot of those same guys and myself watched together as we put two win streaks on bama,5 SEC Titles, Peyton and a National Championship. Hang together my fellow Vols we will be back and with the right coach sooonn!

Thank you sir for your service..

I still have that cassette of John Ward''s radio broadcast.

If Gruden doesn't happen this time, will we want him the next time?

Either he is our next HC or I will hate him more than Saban. No middle ground. He had 3 chances to squash everything this week and chose not to. He even threw gas on it in one interview. He's either the HERO or he's dead to me.

It's easy. At this point there are only two people who can change my mind about what's happened so far. Those would be John Currie and Jon Gruden. Call them the "principles." Anyone else speaking publicly on the search will not be able to shake my belief in what has happened already.

I literally cannot be clearer than this.

Already happened means UT and Gruden have both signed. Maybe the "big" university comments means an attorney or someone like that has seen/reviewed the documents.
