Official Gruden Thread 38

I don't ever post here but figured I'd share the only tidbit of "info" since it kind of relates to this particular subject.

I have a friend in the "business" who has become decently close with Mullen and travels each year to Starkville for a game and stays at Dan's house.

His text to me last night was "Sexton controls the Tennessee Job"

FWIW

If that were true Butch wouldn't have been hired.

If I’m not mistaking, I believe I recall beaver openly said that he was in his early 20s when he first showed up on here? Maybe I am thinking of someone else.

Interesting detail.. so we think that someone in their 20s has gained enough personal/professional status, power, clout, what have you, to gain intimate access to a deal of this potential maginutude? Enough where he is running around message boards, creating a twitter alias, playing with pictures of horses &
Moby Dick and ultimately painting himself as the voice of the coaching search ... highly doubt it

It's apparent 1 of 3 things are happening

1. Gruden has accepted and they are trying keep things quiet until they announce.
2. Gruden is getting cold feet again and prolonging the process to which I think Currie has
given a deadline hence the backtracking.
3. Gruden said no and they are trying to downplay his involvment.

With what AV said I'm going with number 2.

I seem to remember Beave saying that Currie would look like the hero in the end. I think he's just reminding us who really pushed for this and influenced it happening.

I seem to remember someone asking him some form of Tennessee football trivia and he said he would not know it without looking up because he was born in the 90s or something along those lines. Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

They are more obsessed than they say we are. Honestly, it's weird.

It's pretty simple, if you think he isn't coming and we are all crazy, stay the **** out if the thread lol. Think Freak was pretty clear, but some of the assclowns can't help themselves. Have to question exactly how bad their real loves are to feel the huge need to **** all over everyone lol.

I think its number 3 and here is why. I believe after watching the LSU game, Gruden realizes just how bad of shape the Vols are in. Meaning, what kind of rebuild job he would have to do here is just too much. Especially for a first time head coach in college.
