People seem to be forgetting the "first plan" in what AV said. That tells me that there very well could be a second plan. Also, says that he is comfortable with it, but not all will be. Hes posting that in a gruden thread insinuating that not all would be ok with it the other plan.
To me, that seems as of its another coach because the only reason for people in here to not be "ok" with the other is if it isn't Gruden. Also, I'm all in on Gruden so no turning back for me now. 😁

Yeah, I thiink it's safe to say plan A and B are not the same person.

AV said a clear plan a and plan after that which he was good with but everyone might not like, maybe the powers that be are not onboard with what comes after Gruden, seems pretty clear.

Exactly. Only reason for anyone in the Gruden thread to not be as comfortable with the alternative is if it doesn't involve Gruden.

Yesterday’s “fundraising” email is gaining credibility on VQ. Appears that it came from an individual who helps with the Tennessee Fund. Some pretty good sleuthing may have uncovered this tidbit of info.

Maybe Gruden doesn't want a "Coach in waiting". First sign of problems and fans are calling for CIW.

I find it impossibly believable that UT would explicitly structure a contract, wherein Tee (or any coach, for that matter) would be penciled in as - In Waiting. Anyone who follows CFB understands the dynamics involved. Each season presents a different challenge with recruiting, internal and external demands, funding, available options, etc.

I have been clear about my thoughts on Tee before, and I don't understand the drool fest. I appreciate his time as a player, but he is unproven in being a solid position coach and coordinator, much less a head coach (in-waiting or otherwise).

I want "orange blood" throughout our great university, but I also want the best option available over having the same blood type. I look at the VFLs as being culturally competent, the ones who know what it means to be a Vol, and are willing to take all necessary steps to hold themselves and their players to that standard. I would take a VFL in every available position, hands down, but only if they are deserving of it. Just as an example, and I'm not picking, but we can do better than Tee for any position he may be in contention for.

That email is fake. It just says we will meet in the West skybox. There are multiple floors with multiple suites in the skyboxes. Not a single skybox.

That was a letdown in the AV post for me. Those crazies tracking planes were hilarious while still lending the possibility of an elusive picture.

I hate that part is over now. It had a sitcom feel with dramedy potential.

Don’t think AV presented a puzzle. “Beyond” meant that if you go past your first option, you’re not up ish creek. You have a plan in case things fall thru.

This is how I read it also . He said he was comfortable with both A&B but not everyone would be because we all have different opinions on who should be our coach.
