It's risky because basically you're kicking to them to start the 1st half and then kicking to them to start the second half again. But it's no more risky than going for it on 4th and 1 at our own 20 yd line.

Quickly this afternoon...

To this point it's been a slow day in terns of the Tennessee coaching search, but the coaching change window is starting to open up nationally and things are going to get interesting.

With UCLA opening up today, Florida fans are suddenly nervous in regards to their hopes with Chip Kelly. I don't know what Kelly is going to do. There are many out there who think that he would prefer the west coast to Florida and the SEC.

I also believe that part of the delay with Florida is that for a while not everyone that counts in Gatorland has been sold on Kelly. Could that end up being a bidding war?

Clay Travis tweeted a bit ago that Kevin Sumlin could be in play at UCLA. The idea that Sumlin would be interested in UCLA is a rumor has been out there for a while. Sumlin has supposedly told others that he will take next year off if he's relieved of duties in College Station.

My goal was to see how hard it was to make a quasi-believable grumor. Originally I thought you guys would immediately call bs. Maybe you were just being nice to me.

IMO, UCLA doesn't fire Mora now and owe him that huge buyout of they aren't confident in getting Chip Kelly. There have been rumors of Kelly to UCLA longer than him going to Florida.

Why not. All of us outsiders were anticipating it. It was painfully obvious we were headed this way after last year. We had the best talent in the east and beat fla and ga but didn’t go to the championship game because we were out coached by muschamp and Derrick Mason.

I actually believe he did anticipate a coaching search just thought it would not officially start until after thanksgiving. But butch couldn’t even win enough games to be able to finish the season.

Clock started ticking for Currie after the Georgia game. I will remain forever convinced if he’d fired Butch then and replaced him with Hoke, we’d be bowling. But we can’t change the past and making the right coaching hire is the most important decision at this point. And who knows - showing Butch some compassion may help Currie make a good hire...
