To be clear, I didn't predict a date. I just stated I would be shocked if an announcement came tomorrow had we won the game today. That's all.

I don't think any announcement comes before next Sunday or the end of the regular season. The names we're hearing JG is trying to pull are with other colleges already currently coaching.

I said that I THINK an announcement would come tomorrow. I did not say it WOULD. See my exchange with 92, who thinks it happens after Vandy. Reasonable minds can disagree on timing of the announcement. Lots of things could change the timing. Heck, as far as I know, Currie could have read my post and said "that jackass thinks it could happen tomorrow, I'll show him!"

I think the performance tonight was the current staff's chance to prove themselves for potential employers. We all saw how it looked. I don't think respect for their job prospects extends beyond tonight.

I've heard some things that make me think tomorrow is likely, but nothing firm enough for me to say "yep, it's happening tomorrow absolutely."

I also have a few quarts of homemade spiced rum.... it turned out really good. Hardly ever hear about someone running a batch of good rum in these parts. About 110 proof, great flavor, dark and really smooth. Even made the vanilla extract by hand for the rum... took several months before that was ready.

Don't have much of it. Only one batch ran this year. Got a little ticked at my wife. I came in from work and she had put raisins in about a 3rd of one quart. She said she is planning on making some sort of holiday desert with it. God I Love that Woman... lol

Didn't mean to imply you had predicted. Just that we differed on when we THINK it could happen.

An announcement tomorrow wouldn't shock me, given the loss tonight and how bad it looked. But I've not been given any information on the timing, so for me to predict that would be purely a guess, which I'm hesitant to give, because posters on this board will take that as a guarantee from me.

At this point, I feel bad for the seniors, hope to beat the piss out of Vandy, and I'm going to sit back and enjoy the Gruden show unfold!
