How many days, weeks, months and secret meetings can a few people have to hammer out details of a contract. Jeez, Louise!

I can see this one having different issues than most.

The current sponsors that Gruden has for 1.

And the fact that he has zero staff to bring with him. With most coaches you habe an idea of who will.ckme along with salaries. None of that in this case, especially if he tries to bring in some NFL guys.

Absolutely. Confident it has been done for a few days now, and we're just in the waiting game for right time of announcement.

I don't think we've gotten any truly new news since Thursday morning.


And I think OrangePill's description of the dynamics of that particular decision is probably right on: Gruden wants it as late as possible (out of consideration for sitting coaches, both those at Tennessee now and those who might be coming to Tennessee with him)...while the University wants it sooner rather than later.

So the place where they came to consensus is probably something like a week from Monday, the 27th (or maybe the day before, or the day after). Could be earlier than that, could be this coming work week, in fact. We'll just have to wait and see.

That's all just a guess, but I think it's pretty well-founded.

it's nothing.

sometimes a poster will invade the thread being a rude antagonistic (insert word) and i use a chris jericho gif telling them they just made the list as i put them on ignore.

it's meaningless, as after we hire a coach, i'm gonna unlist everybody and start over. i've got approximately 110 people on said list. it just makes it easier to navigate these threads if i don't have to wade thru so much junk.

i've tried to slow down using the gif. But i still have it if anybody gets out of hand ... just sayin'.

I like the gif. I post door. Knuck started gtfo. Ape just gets mean. It's a troll alert. I think boxerpups was the 1st victim. Maybe in thread 19?
