I guess I just don't understand. One is going to be 6-5, while the other will be 9-1. How is that comparable?

I agree that both have improved their programs. Norvell is about to do what Fuente never did- play in their championship game. He has literally elevated the program.

I would also argue it's a little easier to get players out of Texas than to Memphis. Yet I believe Norvell had the third recruiting class in the American in 2017, 22 spots higher than SMU. He also got a 3 star and 4 star out of Oklahoma and a couple from Texas. He got Hartlee Dykes' nephew out of Texas in 2016.

Both will continue to be good coaches, but there is literally no proof right now that Morris is better than Norvell.

Harbaugh is 10-3, 10-3 and 8-3 so far this year after only returning 5 starters (1 [ONE] on defense). Returned the fewest starters in FBS. I’d say he is doing ok

Pete carrol wasn’t a big splash at all at the time. USC fans hated it. CHARlie Strong was the most wanted coach before he went to Texas. Muschamp was thought to be a splash at Florida. Stop lookin at the result.

So, apparently Jimmy said on VOL Network that Gruden said no... Wasn't he the one who said we didn't even talk to him?

The only reason people are talking up the Mullen win is because of the trashing that went on when they were down 14 in the first half.

It's an overreaction to an overreaction, the VN way

If this is true, how does he get away with this crap? Why have people not called him out on it? How is he not fired yet? I mean he's not even entertaining.

I stand corrected. I thought there record was much better than it is and I didn’t realize today’s score got so out of hand.

Pretty sure I never said Morris is better than Norvell though.

I already admitted I was mistaken about how Pete Carroll was perceived at the time. Had forgotten that his star really started shining after he got there.

I still disagree about Strong. Most fans didn’t consider him a splash hire.

Agree about Muschamp

Peterson was a splash at Washington
Fisher was a splash at FSU

We can name guys that did and didn’t work out.

I ran into an A&M guy at the grocery store this morning who was saying Jimbo was at the top of their list.

crazy that KY is that much better than we are... everyone is leaving us in the dust. Next coach has a LOT of ground to make up.
