When you start getting a steady flow of non Gruden (solid) info. You 'll know were past option A.

It probably shouldn't. They should give him whatever it takes if Gruden says no.

But it's not out of the question for him to be using this for a raise. I went on some MSU boards to lurk around and they believe next year's team will be their best ever and that he's more likely to leave after seeing where that team goes. They surmise he would like to find a top level job in the Northeast somewhere.

Yeah, the couple of guys I talk to tell me the offer is still in front of him and he's still mulling he decision.

I just like the debate of Plan B - F, ya know? There's nothing to talk about re: Gruden. He's the best candidate by far and we're waiting on his answer.

Still undecided on how I'd feel about Mullen.

One part of me wants to believe he'd crush it here given the resources. SECCG appearance every 2-3 years always hovering around the top 10-15.

Other part thinks we'd be an 8 win team every year winning the games we're supposed to while losing the games we're supposed to.

I think they like Mullen has a good, safe hire but I'm not convinced he's B.

If we were to beat out Florida for Mullen, and they were then forced to go with Norvell, I would be almost as excited as if we got Gruden.

That's pretty much where I am on Mullen. His floor is pretty high but what's his ceiling? Is he his record at state or is his more like Franklin jumping from Vandy to a bigger school?

I'm sure many would be upset but it might be the best they can do. Frost is going to Nebraska it seems and Kelly might not get the job. LWS said earlier that UF power brokers don't want Kelly.

Who else would they get? Maybe Mullen I guess.

No. I have heard Mullen mentioned but that there was one more that would listen before it fell to him.

I don't expect it to get past Mullen, but that is my opinion.

Currie had a good idea where he stood from the beginning well before Jones was canned.
