I hope this is true. The sooner the better. We need to get a head start on the early signing period. We need Cade Mays in this class. Our OL is so bad. We need to hire a coach soon to have time to get those guys back and look for some more top guys especially at DE and RB.

If Gruden is the guy there is no reason to wait

Easy. 10th assistant being added soon so you’ve got room to play with. Needs someone he can trust who can start day 1.

Also dale is 53 and I’m not sure what he makes there. We could be putting him in Strip’s role or something like that. Could possibly make more sitting behind a desk at UT and be an hour from his hometown of Cleveland.

So if we're letting the national media know that we've considered all the "risks" of hiring Gruden and given the potential rewards have decided to go ahead and hire him anyway do we get points for knowing what we're getting into? I mean you can criticize the hire if it for some reason things don't work out down the road but you can't say we didn't know what we were doing. jmo.

Come Sunday they'll float Thursday, then it'll be finalizing staff and they'll announce everything Sunday after Vandy.

And so on and so forth until Mullen comes to the podium and the sky is falling until our QBs look good in the spring game and then we'll be a dark horse in the east.

Mullen would leave me with 0 excitement. Hopefully I'm wrong. Certainly wouldn't be the first time.
