If Brady Hoke wins both games can we just name him permanent interim and keep the coach search going on indefinitely?

I look forward to having people with sources on the other site with sources saying we are gonna resurrect Bill Walsh whole others claim he's not even a real person. Jon Reed will have the nation's most watched cable sports news show.

Chris Doeren or whatever his game is on Finebaum a little bit ago said he doesn't think Mullen would want the Tennessee job because he doesn't think it's a better job than the one he has. Sounded like an opinion on his part. Sick and tired of these national guys crapping all over Tennessee. Acting like Tennessee isn't a better job than Mississippi freaking State. Said he'd rather go to Florida and Mike Norvell would be a good hire for UT.

I would agree that if Currie knows he can't make it happen that he needs to make a clean break asap and put some time between that and whoever he does roll out. Even if he pulls off a good hire.

Here's the thing: if Gruden comes out and says he's not interested in the job, people will point to Saban and Alabama and say he's just playing coy.

Currie can't come out and say they're not going after Gruden. That would be weird and a total break of protocol. He also can't say they were turned down because the first question the next coach will be the same old "how does it feel to be the second choice?" question.

So the only way there's a clean break is something like the CBS article - which everyone here immediately laughed at and dismissed. Lol.

That guy is the biggest homer on that show. He's a gator who hates TN. It was so nice watching him nearly cry on SEC now after the game last year.

What if scenarios:

What if Lane had never been coach here to where that stuff happened.... how high would he have been in today's coaching search? I'd venture to say very very high.

What if Chad Morris never left Clemson for the craphole SMU.... he would be a guy much higher in the list than he is.... if he brought in Kevin Steele as DC then he would go much higher in my list right now.

1. He wants you to believe him a little too much.

2. The intent is to get people to disregard others who are telling people to move on.

3. The conspiracy theory angle is poorly rationalized.

The simplest explanation is that some of these people are getting their jollies from having people hang on their every word and want to drag it out a little longer.

Next, things will turn nasty against anybody saying it’s not happening. LWS is going to go back to being “out of touch,” and there’s going to be a lot of vitriol towards.
