From a timing standpoint, Mullen's season ends Thanksgiving night, and Patterson's ends on Friday. If our guy is either one of those, good chance he could be somewhere in Neyland for the Vandy game and introduced on Sunday

I think the most important thing in there is it's been yes and no several times.

Like all of them man, throw it against the wall and see if it sticks. The skepticism on this board is always at a healthy high level until Grudenscape starts then you guys become country bumpkins, I don't get it.

Why do you have to constantly be a condescending ******* to everyone around here?

Thread this morning asking him who Fulmer prefers as HC...

You think Fulmer is involved or will be involved reaching out to other candidates?

if no Gruden is it really going to go down to Morris/Durkin/Norvell type hire?

Do you think Currie is using Fulmer as point man contacting coaches?

Hmm...so multiple opportunities to come out and say we have moved on from Gruden, because he said no, yet he didn’t. He has clearly stated Gruden said no twice already. We went a 3rd time, and LWS isnt mentioning that or confirming Gruden said no. I think LWS knows, but he can’t all of a sudden say his % has shot up to 50 or 75%, because then everyone will know it’s a done deal. He has to continue to play his role, in order to suffocate some of the flames.

My problem with the Ziti (et al.) theory is that I think you’d see the Brices of the world knowing the deal was done and standing firm on that, if it was in fact done. That’s what happened with OSU and Urban, and I think that’s what would happen here. Yes, people can keep secrets, but they rarely do.

Well, you've admitted that no one knows anything so it just as good a chance of him coming as it is not. :)

From TB

"I know 100% from his scource that Jon Gruden is still in play and feels like we will know today absolutely if it's a go.

If we hear anything after today it's made up."

Like others have said, if we’re throwing $10mil a year around we should throw it at some other big names before moving down our list.

Don’t think we go from that to Durkin at $3.75 in a couple days.

Throw it at Kelly. Seriously. And Peterson.

Durkin won’t be the hire, but my confidence that the music stops before we get to Norvell is not high.
