Gruden made a point yesterday to say he was sensitive to the coaches on the job. Imo it would be a slap in the face of The current team to name a coach before the season is over.

There's no proof of this. He actually runs a high powered offense without a Josh Dobbs.

You could also argue that he's riding on Fuente's coat tails, much like Jones did with Brian Kelly. Has he really topped anything that Jones has done to this point?

How many of their games have you watched? Do you know who he has helped recruit? What is unimpressive about him?

I've watched bits and pieces of a couple Southern Cal games this season. I'm not really unimpressed by what he's done either. He may call the plays but that situation is similar to the Butch Jones/Scott situation IMO. He's running Clay Helton's offense. I will say he is definitely a dynamite recruiter.

Why would you think he would want Dale? All of his experience is at Appy State? What gives you any inkling he could recruit at the level we need here or develop linebackers? Tee has a great deal of experience at P5 schools and is a terrific recruiter.

Several have hinted at Gruden reaching out to Dale about a having a position on his staff. IMO he's a classic example of a guy who's just a good football coach. More specifically at the linebacker position. I don't put as much stock on the recruiting end of it. Just look at Thigpen. Great recruiter, bad coach. Didn't turn out so well.

Personally, I think he's doing his best to tell the fan base he's coming home, without coming right out and saying it, which obviously he cannot do at this point.

If it were not so, by this point he would have squashed the rumors.
