no, it's the expectation...we've got 35 threads on Gruden. hiring Mullen would be underwhelming to 95% of the people in these threads, just like hiring mullen would be underwhelming to all those FL folks that have gone all in on Kelly.

I see Frost or Strong to UF. I don't think Chip Kelly going there is for real. I think he would rather go to a conference where he was THE alpha coach.

Some notes on the 105.1 interview with Hargis. Posting because it confirms several things I've seen here.

- Things further along with JG this time than in 2012
- One of his sources expects to have more info later tonight (and Hargis said he was told that after the Mike & Mike interview this morning)
- He spoke to Blackburn both before and after the Mike & Mike interview this morning
- Should move quickly and should know something definitive by the weekend
- Big boosters on the same page, which was not the case in 2012
- Money for assistant coaches was holdup in 2012; should not be the case this time
- Staff is important to JG and wants it worked out beforehand

He also said some historical things I didn't know: Blackburn, Vic Grider and Gruden were all on staff at UT in 1985 and were all friends. Blackburn and Grider were student equipment managers. Grider and Gruden both worked with QBs at the time. Gruden and Grider were roommates and have maintained a close friendship since that time.

Something David Paschall said before Hargis came on: Hargis has received apologies from both Hyams and Ainge for things they said to and/or about Hargis following his 2012 article. FYI, Paschall and Hargis work together at the TFP.

He said Charles Davis is one of Gruden's best friends and he would know what Gruden was thinking. He said he's called Davis numerous times this week and he hasn't returned his calls yet!

For those out of area Charles Davis is on Matthews show every Saturday morning and they are close.

If my real good friend has not returned my calls after several day, either he is not a real good friend or he is hiding from me, or hiding something from me
