I have thought about Inky being a part of this transition and how influential and impactful his presence would be. Glad to hear this.

Currie would not be interfering with his contract simply by discussing an opportunity. How would that cause economic harm to TCU? If Patterson does not take the position, his contract is in tact without harm. If he does, the terms for his departure are defined in the contact. UT pays the buyout and all is well.


In my line of work, I have placed my company under contract with a number of vendors of goods and services. Those vendors' competitors call me all the time asking me to use their services rather than those of my contracted vendors. Based on your logic, they would also be involved in Intentional Interference with a Business Contract. But, they are not because they are not actually doing anything to harm my existing relationship.

All of that was reported in the TFP this morning. Hargis wrote an article where he said he talked to Blackburn, and Blackburn said he'd been in contact with Gruden.

Just kidding, it's just a few of us holding out to see if the internet would explode at the 7,001 mark. But it's working fine. Not sure why we switch threads so early, seems we could at least go to 7,500 or 8,000. :)

Then why did they grant permission to see him last time then? Before Kiffin? He clearly stated he sat down with Tennessee people over dinner and felt they had already made their decision to hire Kiffin. Blah blah. That whole story that just came out. So clearly they have granted permission in the past.

I was talking about the game contract, I really don't see an AD going to each small town school's area to sign a contract.

At the very least it would be the Charlotte 49ers AD coming to Knoxville to do that.

But in this case it could be he's going to see a certain coach who lives in FL :)
