I am not saying he lied. I am saying it didn't happen. So honestly there could have been talks. There could have been Gruden with feelers out to coaches. Although at the end of the day we got Butch. I feel like it was a top brass issue. Maybe this time they wanna make UT legit contenders again. It wont happen with a dollar store hire.

Ok still have about 5 pages to catch up but I wanted to weigh on on the Currie airport/plane picture. Is this today?

I work in Charlotte and have used this airport many times. And with my job I have also been in the corporate/private aircraft terminal side which is completely separated from the main airport. (Bidding renovation work not flying, I wish I has access to corporate jets)

The terminal that is used by private jets does not have as many areas to meet in private. I know this sounds contradictory but it would be easier to meet in private in one of the executive clubs offered by the major airlines than it would be through the private aircraft terminal.

Jon Gruden was photographed in Charlotte at the airport on Tuesday. Did Currie fly in to meet him after he departed Charlotte after the MNF game?

Just my two cents.

Edit: Ok I am caught up. Looks like the Currie Charlotte Airport is happening today. Please ignore my theory above.

Hate is harsh, but he would have burnt a lot of UT fan bridges. Definitely taint the high regard VN has for him.

He called him to see about tacking on a few season tickets to his donation package. Friend calls his person that handles his tickets and was told, "he needs to decide before the end of the week. They'll be gone next week. This is going to be huge."
