It would reduce the blow-back once he moved into town. If he says early "I love UT and Knoxville but I can't do it guys", I'm good with that. They did that in '08. But string us out like this now? it's a small town and peeps are not going to be nice when they bump into him at the liquor, err, I mean grocery store. Quality of life goes down if everybody is bringing the s*** on him on every corner- which will happen here.

I’m all for him, but how exactly is he stringing us out? There’s been no official statement that the university has offered him, so he’s not obligated to say anything. It’s be silly to bash a man because you believed someone in a message board when the university has said nothing about him. Jmo

Couple random thoughts..SFD you're better at connecting dots.

- As simple as something this big someone wants the story told

- We're being used as data collection to shape the narrative..what to leak, what info and misinfo to put out, etc. VN is a sample size of Big Orange Country, we're the cross section being polled.

- We're being used to influence, the problem with this is everything is centered on this thread, not VN or any other forum. How many people truly see this ONE thread and keep up with MIT and Bubba? Counterpoint to this is it could be a folk movement like the 1800's, except we're spreading it with social media.

- Lastly, and I hate to say it. This is all a complete misinformation campaign. The Kansas City Shuffle. We are all staring at Gruden and another Coach is being locked up, possibly an NFL HC in Baltimore or someone completely out of left field. We have no idea where PM has been.

One thing is for sure, this has been well thought out and executed. Ten people on here can shape ten different narratives, or one person can persuade the other 9 to their point of view. There is just enough information to create perfect confusion.

I think now the practice is just talk to the coaches agent. The agent then tells the AD of the wanted coach in hopes they raise the stakes. I believe the Honorable asking father for daughters hand in marriage doesn't happen anymore.

Someone in the coaching search rumor thread posted a rumor that Brady Hoke is gonna be HC...

Please tell me there is zero chance this happens?!

Some people a while back were speculating that Mueller was the Spognardi dude that was head of football operations or whatever. Butchs right hand man. The guy that got fired.


Makes sense to me because he Mueller hasnt been around in about that long.

Been so long I can not remember . Around that time. Did not know there was a binder. Funny story ..... my two sons both play travel baseball. My youngest was playing with a phenomenal athlete and I was talking to his dad who told me he was an ex vol. I asked him when he played . I don't recall the years now and he did not see the field much but he did have a card in the set. I dug through the set and
gave the card to his son. Not going to mention the name because the relationship has gone south since lol. Cool moment back then though. He was a back up running back . Huge dude.
