I remember when Dooley was hired there were some posters saying "I like him cuz he sounds like us". In other words he has southern accent...as opposed to Kiffin's "yankee" accent. I understand though. We were looking for any positives to attach to him when he got hired. I've seen a few references to Butch's "yankee" roots...but not many thankfully...and I know we don't give two $**ts where Gruden was born. So credit to the blog.

Sorry olevolfan I don't know Jack about UT sources, but I do know several coaches in the Knoxville area for HS. You are flat out lying about any message being sent to Mays email, text, call, or otherwise.

Not to jump in the middle, but personally I came to this by process of elimination. I would like someone with good football knowledge. Someone with strong ties to Tennessee. Someone who could get Tennessee back winning and in the headlines for the right reasons quickly. And someone who would be able to set up and stabilize our coaching lineage for years to come.

No one’s going to be perfect. But ya gotta shoot for the stars to hit a mountaintop.

Ya know, I've never put anyone on ignore. I'm afraid they may be making a list like that guy Billy Madison went to high school with.

I think the most important question we should be asking ourselves is, what would Frank Caliendo’s Gruden impressions be like if Gruden goes to UT?
