Was it really the same gamble?

NFL coach with many years of college experience and a NC = an NFL coach with GA college experience?

He is not just a NFL coach. He is a SUPER BOWL winning coach. Something Saban never even sniffed. It's about 1000X easier to win a NC @ Bama than a SB at Tampa bay.

I am not a lawyer and I don't know how the legal HR hurdle would be accomplished, but perhaps espn agreed to let Gruden out of a contract without penalty or perhaps there was some creative financing going on. Again, this would be peanuts compared to the size of this merger, but I think there is or was some incentive as a result of this that all parties (Grude, UT, dish, espn) found enticing.

if i was jon gruden i would totally make an account here and make my username “iamjongruden” and then i would be like “man, you guys need to calm down, i took the job, see you next week” and then sit back and watch everyone call me a troll.

Hey guys, I sincerely apologize for making it seem like Ron posted that we had Gruden 100%. Everyone was joking about Ron’s posts, and I messed with one.I did not think people would take it seriously.

I’ve stated several times in this thread that Ron is a great guy, but he just passes along information. I thought the post was satirical enough to where no one would take it seriously
