I’m gonna be the obvious black sheep here but i don’t really care about early signing day or losing a few recruits even if that’s Cade Mays. If waiting til January lands us Doug Marrone, Gruden, or some other big name then so be it. I’ll take the right coach over an entire class if need be.

We can have both Hank!

I’m sorry, I wasn’t really even trying to troll. I don’t do that, I was just messing around with Ron’s posts. I did not think anyone would take it seriously since we were talking about Ron being a super insider

I added a bit 😉

Pat Forde on Finebaum

Florida will get first choice over TN

Frost nor Kelly would want Tn job but one will be in Florida.

TN will get next tier if Brohm or Norvell

Thus crap is driving me nuts. WE ARE A TOP JOB! Prove them wrong Currie!

Florida must have gotten good news from the parole board.

Gotta be careful over there, it’s a different breed in the Gruden threads. It moves too fast, too many ups and downs for that stuff. But it’s all good, I’m not mad.

Soon.

Forward to about 10:40 to get to Marlin Lane Jr.

I'm not sure how valuable that is. He hemmed and hawed a lot and complained about 'character issues' keeping him from the NFL. He said Jones told others that but Marlin was accused of a sexual assault. Scouts and NFL teams would've flagged character issues on a marginal prospect like him without Jones saying a word.

The other thing is I remember UT kept that whole escapade under wraps. Not so much as a word leaked out about anything other than that Marlin was in the dog house until well after the fact when Anita W. at the Tennessean went warrior princess on our asses because too many of these were kept under wraps.

IOW, Butch was far more guilty of protecting Lane from the press while he was being investigated for a serious crime than for making him look bad in front of the NFL. If anything that protection and the fact that it was kept so quiet helped Lane's prospects at a career rather than hindered them.
