All I can say is that there are many coaches who are very difficult to play for. It all comes back to winning. If you win, then most can get over it. Gary Parrish has publicly talked about a practice that he witnessed with Calipari at Memphis where he called out a player, verbally abused him, and made the player visibly cry.

All I can discuss is what we saw on the field, and Butch's teams never gave up on him. This year's team was just poorly developed. I hate piling on. Just ready to move on.

Probably gonna regret this but:

Disagree. Even knowing they won't get to play a down for Gruden, it would make the players pumped as hell if they care remotely about UT football. If anything it would hang over the interim staff like a cloud.

I just think it would be another distraction away from these last two games. I appreciate the seniors and think the distraction of a coaching change has already been enough.

i would generally agree with you. the new signing period causes quite the conundrum though. wouldn't risk the recruiting time that is valuable now for a potential of a distraction.

Its less than 2 weeks and then there is plenty of time before December 20th imo

I agree it needs to happen very quickly after Vandy game for the reasons you say.

I don't mind daydreaming, but they already have a gruden thread for that. Here is where we normally talk about real coaching possibilties.
