This whole booster question has come up because of the discussion around the rumor that said Gruden called Mays. The point [whether you dived down your own rabbit hole or not] is that either (1) Gruden (supposedly) did it as an (unannounced) employee of the university, or (2) his (rumored) action would immediately make him a booster, and so subject to the same rules as all other boosters.
