Who's the GoInUponATuesday poster in the Gruden thread that many over seem to like? He has said that the deal is done. Sounds trollish to me.

Says he is friends with Tee. He said Tee has been contacted, but Tee is waiting for a head coaching job.

Several of you have talked about Gruden being a smokescreen and Currie working behind the scenes. But also remember how Currie was hired. Most everyone thought the new AD would be Fulmer or Blackburn, but then almost out of nowhere Currie gets the job! The best I can remember is that not many people even mentioned him as a possibility until it leaked he was the guy.

All of this is to say don’t discredit Currie’s ability to effectively work under the radar to get the job done.

Ron or anyone else, can y’all confirm Hutch7 said this?

Hutch7 on VQ when asked his current percentage of Gruden accepting the job..

"Will not be 100% until I see John and Jon together on stage, but my current level is well over 95%"

He offered some personal proof (pics I think) of him and Tee and is saying he is a close friend with Tee and his family. All his information he says is coming from Tee’s conversations with Jon. He does come off to me believable but with very limited information. If Jon did contact Tee, even if Tee thinks it is 100% done. Maybe Tee is wrong. Or Jon eventually changes his mind. Who knows.

Guys I’ve held string and haven’t bought into gruden this time. Was so disappointed when we trotted butch out there in 2012.

The smoke is so insane though... I might just have to inhale

I just happened to see a YouTube vid about John Bean the other day, and it had an interview with Charlie Rodgers from C&C talking about him..When I saw Charlie I thought "Hey I know that guy from Vn..Thats Chuckie". 😁 It's hilarious that you chose him as your avi and handle.

I actually wanted my username and all to be John Bean's persona from the calls to C&C, but he actually changed it. On the first call, he says his name is Roy Mullins. Then, on the second call, he identifies himself as Sid Arnwine. So, I decided to go with the person whose name was the same in both calls (he doesn't actually identify himself in the first call, but in the second one John asks him his name and he says "Chuckie's my name").

We are going to get plenty of info from our AD who must be dumber than a box of rocks attending games and meeting with candidates in airports.

Let the info flow!!!!

Mack Brown, Fulmer, and Spurrier should do a radio show together I wouldn't mind sitting by the fire and listening to old grid iron stories. But Mack Brown is done.

Add Lloyd Carr to it and you have the Tennessee College Football Coaching All Stars Call in Show. It still blows my mind that this state produced 4 separate National Championship level coaches in that particular coaching generation.

If you took our home boys out of the college game the entire football landscape of the 80s-00s would look radically different.

Hell of a job by Currie by contacting our recruits and assuring them, that we'll have a great coach coming here.

Is Currie allowed to call decommitments?

I'm sure that the Mays' family is in the know, but was just wondering if it's permitted.

Having spent time with Warren, he is the last person you want mentoring young men. Warren was a great player but a terrible human being. I won’t share any stories but this isn’t a good dude.

Warren Sapp is a giant douchebag to the point of being evil stories are thick in Tampa Bay. It is crazy to think you had such awesome guys like Derrick Brooks and Mike Alstott and others paired up with that heap of human garbage...but dang that man could play some ball..
