Agreed. That’s why i hope Gruden nixs it quick if he isn’t coming so we can move on and lock in on Someone else.

Btw, Team taking today off. My guess is a lot of changes gonna happen with scheme. Offense especially.

Gruden has a competitive offer in his hands and there is officially a job opening.

Currie is going to push for a commitment so we should know something very soon.

Brohm, Norvell and Morris are fine coaches, but the risk is high. No clue if any are the dude

1. Morris
2. Brohm
3. Norvell

If I had to pick, but seriously doubt any get a call

That's my order of those 3 as well. I don't feel confident Norvell could be successful in the SEC. I prefer Morris over Brohm simply because of the offense he built at Clemson and the idea we could pluck some of their assistants/recruiters.

Before Kiffin, our team had national respect.

Now, we have our players doing backflips over the fact that we beat Southern Mississippi.

So, yeah, VOLS fans should dream big because look how far we have fallen. Alabama came back and Miami seems to be coming back. Why not us?

If we strike out on Gruden, but are able to land Mullen or Taggart, we will have made a better hire than USC, LSU, Texas, and Florida when they got McElwain.

At this point, it's all relative to me anyway. I just want to make a better hire than Florida does. I am just puking sick of losing to them. If they get Kelly and we get Norvell, they've beat us yet again and will continue to beat us for the foreseeable future.

Before Kiffin, our team had as much respect nationally as anyone in the nation.

We will. Both those schools went through a down period and several mishires. Hopefully we’re finally through that period.

Let them boys have some fun

It’s been a hell they didn’t expect this season

I may have dreamed it, but I thought Finebaum said that the only team Kelly would go to in the SEC was Tennessee. Maybe he was blowing smoke.

For those worried about Hubbs' list, didn't he say, prior to the PC, that a search firm WAS going to be used?

Taking today off? Are you serious? They have had plenty of days off this season. We have two games left… There is not any time to change schemes.

Pass on "system" coaches. Want a guy that knows more than his own system that will develop and adapt the schemes to what the players do best as units. I think we have seen enough of that over the past 5 years.

That puts me squarely in the NFL coaches category and with Mehlen. If dropping down from that, Frost or Taggert.

That came off wrong. Lol They aren’t “off”. It’s just gonna be a different Monday than usually (obviously). Not the typical Monday practice e.

Gruden, Harbaugh, Kelly, Campbell, Frost then Taggert.

What Kingston said. Remember we are a lower tier SEC east team. We can't expect anything but the next up-and-comer, experimental hire. We are where the next shining star comes to burn out and get rich. It like the cicadas, happens every five years. How dare you think we can hire a proven, established coach?

Currie sounded and looked a lot more confident at the press conference than someone who was about to hire Norvell.

He nailed that presser. I think he’s got a big fish on the hook

I just don't understand the Frost thing. It's impossible to say whether he will be able to draw elite recruits and he took over a UCF team that was one bad season removed from a co-conference championship 9-4 season and two seasons removed from playing in the Fiesta Bowl. Whatever is going on at UCF has a lot more to do with the foundation building and recruiting of George O'Leary that it does with Frost IMO. I just don't believe there is enough of a track record to roll the dice on Frost.

And Chip Kelly never rebuilt anything either. :dunno:
