My guess is they probably would’ve liked that but the optics were bad. Kelly leaves and you hire within to Helfrich, he falls apart and then you hire within again to Frost? They would have got torn apart by their fans, IMO.

I know that not a lot of people on here like the Sports Source, but I liked this segment. There's definitely some people on here that are guilty of doing these things, lol.

Prime example, Kevin Steele was set to be the D.C. At TN until he gives up 70pts to West VA in a bowl game.Now he is one of best DCs in country

Reading through the Thamel article. Got a kick out of this part:

“Kelly wasn’t thought to be intrigued by SEC jobs, but Florida presents a different dynamic as it has more of Kelly’s preferred East Coast vibe. For now, it’s not known if each party is completely sold on each other. But the mutual exploration process is underway.”

Has this dude ever been to Gainesville? lol

I like how he compares Jon Gruden to Jessica Simpson. It seems like kind of a dated reference until you realize that both peaked in 2003.
