I don’t get the hype. Seems like a mediocre coach to me

He built WKU from nothing into the program that gave Brohm a chance to rattle off 10+ win seasons and land at Purdue. Also let Charlie Strong walk into a 10+ win program that he also built.

Taggart would look like a genius if he stayed at WKU or USF another year. He basically walked away from 10+ win teams at both stops.

No one in his right kid would turn down that Oregon offer.
90% chance Oregon could never duplicate what happened with chip, mainly Bc there’s no bag man handing them talent.
Anytime an upstart program becomes good out of nowhere there’s usually nefarious reasons behind it (SMU, Baylor , Oregon)

Taggart is an awesome coach with a helluva pedigree and resume.

Not going to talk about the details of the coaching search. Giving Coach Jones high praise. No more news today.

I'd love him here. Man has the big time Bama kids wanting to go to Oregon bro.

Looks like I need to step away from any football threads for awhile. I know you guys hate Butch, but I still think he's a good coach that just hit his limit and couldn't break through here. It's time to move on.

This is not what good coaching looks like.

Odd answer about Butch swaying recruits on the way out.

It’s like they’re protecting him to a degree. I assume CBJ knows where the bodies are buried but damn...

No thanks on Taggart

Fire Currie?

It’s a different era. Florida being a better job than Tennessee doesn’t really matter anymore.

Both schools are gonna shoot for the stars but will probably end up just having to hope to get lucky. There’s no Urban out there to be had. Plenty of mcelwains and muschamps though.

Frost has the most potential to become Urban like. He has a dynamic offense and plays solid defense and ST. Comes from an excellent coaching tree.

I really believe Campbell has that "it" factor and would win in the SEC given the chance.

Love Norvell system and his track record as an OC.

Too much money flowing for the which job is better argument these days. Every SEC job open has its pros and cons.
