Sorry to be off topic! New to posting but been reading since 2011. A buddy of mine big Gator fan! Twitter and him are saying Chip Kelly has emerged as favoriite for head Coach of Florida. Thoughts if this happens?

With our luck they’ll hire him and become the most prolific offense in college football history while we miss on Gruden for the umteenth time and end up hiring Kelly’s Neighbor who is a gas station attendant because the Haslams like him and he helps Kelly game plan and we feel he’s a diamond in the rough...****!

Keep wishing Putin!
I’m not sure vandy can beat us this year even with potentially our worst record in history!

Doesn't matter , he will be a second tier coach at a second tier program in the SEC once CJG is announced....soon!!

On a serious note I always thought the teams ol JELLY had at Oregon were soft...jMO

This is truly not the usual STFU/GTFO response, but just to let you know, this thread is for discussing Gruden and all other non-coaching-candidate ideas, including intermittent fasting, chicken wing recipes, and spongy brakes.

Your question will be much better received on another thread. :hi:

Grude morning, guys.

Yesterday morning it was cleaning up all of the pot needles and this morning it's like cleaning up a mass murder scene in here. It's been a tough 12 hours in the old Gruden thread. People turning on one another, trolls driving by hurling molotov cocktails, and poor Coasty is on 24 hour suicide watch. This place is as big a wreck as the program we support.

Which brings me to my point.

I just returned from trading in my Grudometer, which still firmly sits at 50%, for another model. This meter factors in much more than just my belief that Gruden will be hired. While that does play a part in the final reading, this new meter also measures faith in the program itself. Faith in the AD and boosters doing what needs to be done to make Tennessee respectably competitive on the national stage. Simply stated it measures where I am personally at when it comes to continuing to support this football program. When and if this meter reaches 0%, I am done and out.

Doyle's Deluxe Vols Fanometer 5000 begins it's readings at 50%.

Well thats it., we are heading back tomorrow Like my friend said Butch is done tomorrow, Gruden will be named in the next couple of weeks. He said he had to stay back to prep for the departure of Butch Jones. He also mentioned how the morale was high in the UT AD.

Cant wait.

It will, 100% have confirmation. Sleep easy.

100% confirmed Butch is out tomorrow. Not 100% on Gruden, but close. Not sure why so hard to figure out? None of my posts would stray from this conclusion.

Not sure why this was so hard to figure out for people? Or why someone would block me, I️ never said 100% Gruden is in, only 100% Butch is out tomorrow (PC tomorrow or Monday). My friend leads me to believe that Gruden is going to be the coach, and look back at my posts and see that is what I’ve said.

Totally. If I’m being suckered then you all are being suckered. If I’m not then you all aren’t. I’m getting info from a source in the AD, these type of things are fluid. You think those guys slept at all last night? They don’t know the outcome of the games until 10-11PM and then have to make a decision. For the most part they have to wait for others to get back from away games. Lots can change in 12 hours, he texted me at 3:45AM and said he doesn’t think anything will change today. Which is different than what he said last night in the 4th qtr.

That last statement bolded is the true statement. Sure, there could be an announcement today, but your backtracking this morning feels very troll-esque.

Watching the Butch Jones show now. They've shown Warrior's pick six about 6 times and it's just 15 minutes into the show.

How are you subjecting yourself to the misery of hearing BJ speak about resolve, resiliency, eye discipline and leadership reps?

I lived in Nashville for 10 years and just recently moved away.

The majority of the people there support the Vols.

There are actually more Bama and Gator fans in Music City than Vanderbilt supporters.

But the orange contingent outweighs them all by a significant percentage.

Truth.

Lived in Nashville my whole life...minus 6 years in the USN. Fix’n to move out tho. Too many dang yankee yuppies moving in.

If Currie land us Gruden, all will be forgotten and he and the administration will be heros along with everyone else. The hire will be the determining factor at the end of the day. SOON! WE WANT GRUDEN!!!!! GRUDEN TO THE HILL!!!!!

UT should've been putting feelers out to Kelly as well. Which they may have. He is the best on the market (Except Gruden)IMO I hope Flat doesn't get him. Let em go out west.
I've always said
1Gruden
2Kelly

Going to ask this again.. I think it got lost in the latest troll bash.

Speaking of Dooley.. I know they had a press conference at 2 on Sunday when he was fired. Does anyone remember when the release was made that they were going to have a press conference?

I don't think Kelly is a good fit in the SEC. But that is just my opinion, many factors in my thinking on him. SOON! GRUDEN TO TENNESSEE!!!!!

I'm not sure. But the day after the Kentucky game this year I believe the media received notification around 4:30-5. I'd look to that as a reference more than what Hart did.

Morning, Doyle. 50% for a Vol fan seems very reasonable at this point in time. I'd say we've been a pretty patient and loyal fan base over the last 10yrs given the circumstances. Hoping for some good news out of Knox today. Tick tock.
