There was a lot of people “reporting” it would be officially announced today Jones would be relieved of his coaching duties. I guess we’ll find out today who has good sources and who is full of it.

Gruden wants to fire him personally.

Serious question: If Lyle isn’t fired this week, (which I don’t believe he will be because Currie is completely incompetent much like the man he worked here under Mike Hamilton), how many LSU fans will fill the seats vacated by Vol fans or will there just be many empty seats after yet another embarrassment? Also, does this AD truly care who buys the tickets and sits in them as long as their money is good? I just get the feeling they don’t. Don’t flame me please, just asking. I know with Gruden on the sidelines I’ll never miss a game with my season tickets.

Neither have yet. I don't listen much to Hyams but he has not been defending CBJ for a while. He does refuse to consider/discuss JG being our next coach. Not the same thing although many hear seem to lump the two concepts together.

Not throwing it all out, but this is increasingly playing out like 2012.

Still confident about Butch (thanks, SFD) but we have had too many insiders this week drop this and that nuggets and personally, I feel like I listened to these guys a smidge too much.

If I ever talk about a situation in my life being 'fluid', I want someone to punch me right in the face.

That is an easy out for people who are not as connected as they like or if they are outright lying.

My needle hasn't moved for Gruden based on any recent information.

My concern for this program increased quite a bit last night. The longer this drags on the clearer the depth of this teams issues becomes. This is a 2 year rehab for a Gruden type hire.

I don't even want to entertain the thought of what we are looking at if it weren't Gruden.


So until then it's Gruden until it isn't. Let's hope the hammer drops today.

Currie is losing more of this fan base every week when we get embarrassed. Firing Botch at least sends the message that he cares about the program

I've read every single post in these threads and paid very close attention. I'm keeping an open but also realistic mind. There is a lot of educated guessing and speculation being talked about as facts in here. The fact is there is VERY little that is actual proven concrete truth. The house, the plane, the MOU, the salary, the list, and I could go on and on, none of it has been officially proven. At the end of the day there has been zero communication from the AD, Butch is still coaching, and not a single coach has publicly said they're interested. Trust me, I want to believe as much as all of you and I'm remaining cautiously optimistic, but be very careful about reading everything posted on here as facts. I desperately hope Gruden will be our next coach, but I'm also not setting myself up for an epic letdown by trusting message board fodder. Love y'all. :hi:
