I'm not sure we will any more. Butch leaves us in just as bad of a place as Dooley. Yes the talent is theoretically there, but it has been infected with bad coaching and poor S&C. I'm not sure even a home run hire would be able to turn it around. If that's the case, we are starting from absolute scratch.

I would say no we can't say that. I'm not convinced after having great defenses at Vandy and PSU that he just forgot how to coach when he got to UT.

Reason #1-I feel like the injuries we've endured
the last 2 years have hit the D the hardest.
Reason #2- I feel Butch controls and hinders CBS too much.
Reason #3- You can't expect D to be effective when they are on the field for the whole game.

I get it. I'm not saying thats the right move. But how far down the list of really lame hires would we get before Martin became a consideration? Would the fact that he's freaking Tee Martin be weighed in at all when evaluating him? Should it?

Great recruiter. Could be disastrous, sure. But I hope he becomes our coach someday somewhere down the line. Would rather see him develop somewhere and have a Frost-like run on his own somewhere smaller first though.

Does he even have the tools to become that someday? Curious to hear thoughts.

LittleDTO basically just said the reason we don't have an interim is because no one on the staff wants to do it lol.

We are in for another hell of a rebuild guys...

We won’t go nearly that far. The buck likely stops with Mullen
