When I saw him in person Saturday I jokingly asked him if he still thought I was crazy. And his direct quote was "not after Thursday night". I asked if he wanted to expanded on that and relieve the burden of such a heavy load and he just laughed and said that was all he was saying and that was too much.

He was pizzed about 2 or so weeks ago. I happened to be in the RF when he was venting. Said something about being in or going to Knoxville. I don't recall.

Someone from RF might have better answer. Probably have better chance for an answer if you ask in there.

Ok Clad, not to be that guy, but here goes, you say you left at half time, just got back to the room, but all this was stated at least about 30 minutes ago. Said you were staying in St. Louis. Columbia to St. Louis is appx 125 miles...so something with your story does not jive...based purely on stated timelines, no way you left at half time, got to room in st.louis and posted about 30 minutes ago regarding your activities. Also, sometimes too much detail with a story lends a story to likely being embellished. Maybe you are legit, but something just not adding up with your​ timeline as reported. But maybe I am wrong.🤔

Dang, I fell asleep watching our Vols, never did that before. Wake up to see the god awfule score, come to look at the previous thread, it's down, check out Twitter and see beav going after Basilio. I don't know, maybe I'm grumpy from just waking up but it seems to me if Gruden is done.....why would he care what Basilio or anyone else has to say? Good Lord I'm ready for the move to be made already!!!

Don't let them get to you.... this was just difficult to watch and they are venting.... you just happen to be here in front of them......

I read your posts (went back and checked everything you promised) and you never posted anything but that Butch was gone.... I HOPE WE GET GRUDEN NOW!!!

Very odd that Skeeter all of a sudden out of nowhere pops in with no Gruden name mentioned but has heard Mullens. The misdirection just turned up a few dials.

I just wish after these expected losses that everyone wouldn’t get in here and start bashing everyone/throwing the troll tag around out of frustration.

Every last person that tries to give info gets beat to death esp after a loss because everyone wants answers now and need to take it out on someone.

Jesus himself could have been in here before the game telling everyone something. Then after we don’t win, which we all knew would happen, everyone would come in here and start talking trash about him.

I fully expect one of two things to happen in the next 24 hours.

News leaks tomorrow that Butch has been relieved of his duties and who will serve as interim

Or

Full on press conference tomorrow or Monday saying he will finish the season and be done at that point and that the search is on for the next HC at UT.

Either of these scenarios might put a spark in the players and we can at least see an effort these next two games. I see no possible way it is business as usual. Its weird when none of my friends that are close are responding to our usual game texts since the first quarter of the game. I will be baffled if by noon tomorrow news doesn't start to leak. I think Jones knows it's over and he had a strange look of almost relief at the end of the game.

He is a good man but has failed. It sucks for us as fans but remember there is a family and real people involved. Forget the money, I know a lot of people's worries in life revolve around money but not everyone's. Failing is not easy but is a reality in any profession. I do appreciate what he has done here to steer the program in the right direction. Hopefully the next head coach of the University of Tennessee is the right fit whether it is Gruden or not.

And before I could post this I got a text saying simply "It's over" from someone I trust would know. Tifwiw not trying to be all insider. I asked if tomorrow or Monday and I got a "I think so". I think they know they have to say something but are unsure whether they want to announce and let him finish or go with interim.

I'M not 100% sure but it appears that he does not comprehend the importance of decisive decision making with the early signing period and it's extremely concerning that he is botching the big boy decisions to the point his hand had to be forced by the boosters.
