I never said Butch didn't underachieve. He said South Carolina is having the season we were supposed to have. That is incorrect. Nearly everyone outside of Vol fans predicted Butch would be fired before the end of the season. That's not nearly what SoCar is doing

Carolina is on their way to 8-4. They beat their opening ACC opponent and are probably going to end up 5-3 in conference. If UT has a season like was hoped then I compare it to USCE's season. Sorry I compared where UT could/should be to where USCE is going to end up.

Fun to watch two dominant defenses like UGA and Auburn play. Tennessee hasn't had a defense like either of those two since at least 08.

Chavis had some awesome defenses in 05 and 08, only to have pathetic offenses accompanying.

If you have defenses on that level you'll have a chance against just about anyone as long you have an offense that's halfway decent. Obviously didn't have the latter in either of those years. I thought Shoop would be able to provide that here but it didn't happen.

Me too. Not really sure why Auburn talk of firing Gus. Not going to upgrade. His offense has been proven to be able to beat Bama multiple times.

My wife's whole family are barners except for one bandwagon bubbajerk sister...tgey are a lot like us, they gripe about Gus incessantly. They say they can predict his plays now like we say we can ours. After watching several games with them I gotta say they are right. I have seen them do it.

I'm not cool with retread hires really at all but if we ever went that route I could stomach Malzahn. I sure as heck would take him over Norvell, Bobo, Doeren, Durkin, etc.
