How far is Johnson City from Knoxville?

I think it’s less than 2 hours. Haven’t made that trip in 20 years though!

About 90 minutes. I drive there from Seymour 1-2 times a month. 81 is not the best road, but JC is not a bad drive at all from Knoxville.

lol can't do it on this one. I have strong opinions on Gruden and Frost, I'm just on the fence with Mullen. Many names on the list I could get behind tho

My biggest things with Mullen:
-You know you’re getting good QB play.
-You know he has juco connections especially in Mississippi.
-You know you’re have big and quality Olines and Dlines.

That says our Floor with him would be 8-4. Probably 9-3 or 10-2. Ii will take that every day.

I don't disagree. Much much better than what we have now and I agree he has a high floor. I'm still unsure if he can win big though.

We could've had Kelly. Gruden will pass, then Currie will have to scramble to hire the likes of Brohm. Then we doing good to finish 3rd. Same as Butch.

When did Chip Kelly tell you he was interested in Tennessee? There has been very little news out about Kelly and Tennessee. We will see if Florida gets him. I am still hoping that Florida gets Bobo.

If he ends up turning us down again late it’s gonna show he’s in it for himself. Just turn us down early so we can move on. He hears the noise.

I would think at this point we have a good idea what he will do. We aren't just sitting back and waiting. Gruden noise is perfect umbrella for Currie to use to talk to other candidates currently coaching without noise

Wasn’t pointed at you but so many people say things like. “i will be ok with Coach A only if he brings in a big time D or O coordinator”.

I would trust him to hire/bring who he thinks is best.

Got another email this morning asking about interest in Johnson City.

I like the area a lot. There are lots of Gators up there because Spurrier is from Johnson City. And, there's Pals. Best french fries on the planet

You guys honestly think a Super Bowl winning coach who hosts MNF is in this for attention... He could get any NFL job he wants when it opens. New York, LA, Philly, anywhere, and you guys think he is talking to us because some boosters in Knoxville are giving him the attention he wants? IMO, Mullen would want to bring his staff and give them huge pay bumps, similar to CBJ. I like Mullen and think he's near the top of our board... but at what price? Is he worth $6M... $6.5M... plus a hefty price tag for staff? Is Mullen really an above-market hire? And how much above-market would UT be willing to go?

This. We are still Tennessee. At least for now. If we mess this hire up....

Then we’re STILL Tennessee and we’ll have to hire better the next time. Right hire and 1-2 recruiting classes and we’re back in business. Just reality.

I don't know who all he wants as DC but I'd consider Taking Steele from auburn with how he has revitalized his career auburn and has extensive college experience

Just don't see her wasting her time on buying something she wouldn't wear until an announcement anyways.
By then she can look at the items in person.
