Did you eat at The Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant, right before the causeway while you were there?

No problem Dave, the "offer" still stands. :)

I honestly cannot remember. We ate at some place just off the bridge...had canoes and stuff hanging from the ceiling. Wasn't impressed. The Mex joint was solid though. I think it was near K-Mart

I'm with you. I believed the beaver. What purpose was the Asheville joke? I'm very confused. I've always believed beaver had some sort of agenda for coming on here. Now it makes me wonder if that agenda isn't as good intended as I thought it was.

I put the wrong emoji, it was suppose to be a laughing one. I was staying at the Grove Park at the time I changed my picture. I am laughing at the “investigation” it caused and now people thinking it was a smokescreen. Enjoy the ride folks, Gruden threads are unique.

Raising 'em right. I'm about 2.5-3 hrs south of you. My son is 2 and already says "Go Vols!"

That's awesome! Gotta keep on 'em though. Lots of bad influences down here - and they will try to turn him! Just get him to a game at Neyland when he's ready. That ought to do it.

My 15 yr old told her principal (who's a Bama fan) that he was just a band wagon fan. He came into her class and said we roll tide in here and she told him oh no we don't, we GO VOLS in her house. He tried to to embarrass her and she asked him who their coach was before Saban and he couldn't tell her. She told that's what she thought but it was OK he would be back to being a VOLS fan as soon as we started kicking their butt's. When she left the class room she told him Soon. Definitely a proud dad moment

The sheer volume of post whores to the Gruden threads are stunning. I would like to add an amendment to mrmax86's rules from the first page: Don't post just for the hell of it and we won't need so many darn threads.

Regardless of the outcome, you are one smooth as hell talker. Props one way or the other in my book. I love this thread.

I don't believe beaver gave that quote. That quote is found if you google ending of the odyssey and it comes from shmoop.com. At least that's where I found it when I googled ending of the odyssey. I'm assuming OP googled it and quoted it. It's not from a beaver dropping.

Sorry the 1st quote was Beav, the 2nd was from a google site.

I'm from there

My wife, too, Behr. She hates when I call her a beady-eyed people. Haha (her eyes are normal size, her daddy was a preacher so they moved into Shelbyville with the job; not born & bred there).

Same with my dad...he moved there with his mom from Arkansas back when he was about 12 or so. So he's unofficially in my book one of those beady-eyed people, too.

And here you are, one of my favorite people in VN.com. I just can't get away from the Shelbyville crowd! :)
