Yep, that's how the resorts we used up in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Upstate New York and Connecticut were, too. Open to the public, well known resorts. Expensive, but not hidden at all.
But if we needed them, we just dropped enough cash on them not only to pay for the whole place but to offset the inconvenience caused to already-booked guests and to ensure discretion for the meeting.
Not saying the boosters had to completely buy out Blackberry Farm for the week, only that there are certainly ways for them to meet there for discretion's sake. And it makes perfect sense as a site to do so, given its location and clientele.
I'd kind of guess it may have already been bought out for the BoT for homecoming weekend.
