Yes! I remember the Fox & Hound episode.

Just last week we had a guy running around the Grove Park Inn searching for Gruden and Beaver. We're pretty sure he almost arrested.

It's crazy how many parallels there are between this time and 5 years ago. Can't wait to see it come to fruition this time.

Many OG's suffered mightily for the cause. Many are no longer with us....pause for respect....because of their involvement. Sacrifices were made to carry the banner.

This. I joined in 2012 because of the original thread but mainly lurked. I loved and hated every bipolar minute of it! My wife thought I was nuts then and especially now for putting myself through it again...

Still would never consider myself an OG... Much respect for those honest OG's who lit and carried the torch!

So the one person on the message boards that his word is the gospel just spoke tonight....and in regards to Gruden as our coach...Soon! TIFWIW but this confirmation is right next to John Currie himself introducing Jon Gruden as the Head Coach.

I’ve heard stories. I mostly read for the first year or so after I joined. My wife had some chemo during that time, and I just wasn’t as into things then. Maybe all of you get redemption this time, fwiw I’m pulling for you!

Tifwiw, but I just received a text from another friend that has contacts with a couple of larger boosters. He's saying everything is agreed to in principle. Butch has accepted a negotiated, reduced buyout. Gruden has accepted. No ink dry but very close.

I have been following this forum for over 8 years. I never felt the need to post, but I spend a lot of time reading what you guys post. I was full grude in 2012 and I was super depressed when I found out we hired butch.
I’m still full grude in 2017. This month has been insane with all the different gruden leaks, grumors, etc. Beaver might be a legend after this is all said and done. My wife has been patient with me, but I know she has to be tired of me constantly looking down at my phone. This has been a crazy roller coaster ,but this time I definitely feel like we are going to catch the “big fish” aka Gruden. My grudometer is at 99.8%.

i think we need to set a criteria for og usage. One can only be an og ( my term, i made it up) if you were part of this madness in 2012...preferably in gruden thread i. Not saying you aren't deezy, just trying to set some guidelines.

Beyond that you're a grudenite, or disciple of gruden...make up your own name.

Og should be a position of distinction...we've taken a lot of ish.

I was also a lurker back then. Although when they announced the hire, I was livid. Then I started posting. Much to the dismay of most I was not happy. I was roasted more often than not. They were saying "Just give him a chance".

I have been doing a lot more digging on the airplane rumor. I have actually created a spreadsheet tracking the 4 Haslam planes in November and the last part of October:

Again, due to the BARR, it is not as easy to track private planes if the owners request that info not be shared. So what you have here is just where plane spotters and people who listen to ATC broadcasts add their data to a couple of websites. It is FAR from comprehensive. This data does prove a plane WAS somewhere with a fairly high degree of accuracy (someone could misreport the N number) but it doesn't mean that is the only place that plane went. In the cases where you see NONE on my spreadsheet, it just means no one reported the plane, not that it didn't go anywhere.

If you don't want to follow the link, in my opinion, I don't see anything that proves or even suggests that Gruden is using one of the Haslam planes. Honestly, I am ready to call that rumor false.

There are a few interesting flights on there....Fayetteville, AR on 11/8 for one, but who knows if it means anything.

I thought that November 4 had the TSY to TMP flight, but now it has none on the spreadsheet, but maybe I am incorrect in my date recall...either way, thanks for the info!
