I have been creeping for a while, reading and getting my hopes back to 2012 levels, and beyond this time. I'm ready to put my heart out there. Dont know if anybody else has noticed, but one encouraging sign for me is the fact ESPN stopped talking about Butch's hot seat over the past week and a half. Once the Grumers got really going. They talk Florida, and I understand that job is open. But they also talk Arkansas, Texas A&M and even Auburn is brought up on almost every college football segment. JG is on Mike&Mike every Tuesday. In 2012 they would joke & ask him about coming to Tennessee. They havent so much as mentioned it this time around. Just my two cents.

My dad said he’s been out of coaching so long that he’ll never get back into it. He’s going to stay with ESPN.

It's unlikely he returns to coaching and if he does it more likely he returns to the NFL, probably Tampa Bay to coach Winston. But, until he or his agent says NO to UT there's still a chance he's a VOL!

first of all if jon gruden signed a contract to coach ut it would be known immediately...he would then be a public employee of the state of tennessee and that stuff is easy to access by any half wit news reporter...guess what?...it didn't happen...if it did it would be all over the place..besides jones is still the football coach until further notice..they aren't going to hire another one until he is gone.
