Just means you don't discuss other coaches. Ancillary, non-coaching subjects may be accepted. It would be appropriate to state something like 'A Mullen hire is like licking a toad's butt compared to a Gruden hire' cause you've made it about Gruden.I guess what confused some of us( I was guilty of mentioning Mullen) was that we didn't know this was a strictly Gruden thread. I started reading last night and read through endless posts about job opportunities for lawyers in Atlanta, reclaiming barn wood, which places to eat on the gulf coast, and which brand of bacon is best so, we just didn't realize this was strictly Gruden. Or maybe it just depends on who's posting.
Many have said it...best time we have had on VN. This is the community.
I hope we do a better job of preserving the spirit of this thread after the new coach is named than we did after 2012. That fell apart pretty quickly due to the negativity that set in.
The only people you need to apologize to are your spouse and children if you have them. They've missed us over the last 3+ weeks, and if they thought this was bad, just wait til the man is officially our coach!

I think the algorithm goes something like this:
If you're going to talk about future Tennessee Volunteer coaches, be sure you're talking about Gruden. Period.
If you're going to talk about something totally unrelated to football, have at it, but be prepared to jump back onto the Gruden topic at a moment's notice.
If you're going to talk football, but not specifically about Vol coaching, then find a way for it to be pro-Gruden or at least somewhat Gruden-flavored.
And yes, as with any tightknit community, being a long-time member certainly gets you more leeway. But that's just human nature, and not unfair.
Go Vols!

Mullen would be his last choice. I heard on radio that Stricklin hates Mullen. Got a belly full of Mullen's atty at State. Apparently, Mullen treats everyone in the AD like they are his employees. He would pick Mullen if he was told to but that would be about the only way.

My son called me a Little while ago to tell me that JG had signed earlier this morning.
He heard Warner Agee (out of Trenton TN) call into 101.5 this morning and say it was a done deal
Evidently Mr Agee has a Highly placed source.
Just throwing it out there...broadcasted this morning
and it is to be announced Sunday...
