coming from a guy that works on espn shows....its not as glamorous as you would think. At the end of the day they are drivers and just end up having to sleep during the event to help get the rig packed so they can hit the road. I wouldn't trade my job for anything....that being said it isn't as cool as you would think, lots of back breaking/stressful work involved to get it on air.

I am all in for Gruden but this MNF truck stuff is dumb. We would pay to relocate him. Espn wouldn't spend money to help him leave.

I almost don't want to post this but I think we have got him. Way too much smoke. I never posted this in 12 but I had a friend at the time who was and still is good friends with Dale Jones. In 2012, a few days before the TFP and Hargis article, he told me DJ had been contacted by Gruden to consider a position. This was not a message board but a guy from the same hometown as Jones.

I was shocked when it did not happen. I knew we were trying to get him this time but with what came out on Twitter about Jones and I am not talking about the lugnut or whatever that is. This kid we all know whose dad is going to kill him just put out in response to the nug post that Dale Jones had just been contacted by Gruden. The guy I knew in 12 and I have not talked in a long time since our daughters do not play basketball together any longer and he's got a divorce and I just don't see him. But this kid's dad is close to a pretty big booster who is very close to Dale Jones and I will leave it at that. When I heard this in the Gruden thread and saw the Twitter post it just became even more real. I knew we were trying but I think we may really have it done IF all the folks up on the hill are really working together this time to give the control he wants. You guys know I am not a troll and I still want to see him being introduced because I have such little faith in the admin on the hill. But, dang it, someone is really trying and I think he really wants it but on his terms. Must not be about the money any longer. Please don't screw this up JD and JC.

I have not. Fat Daddy's Pizza is pretty good, though. So is the Great Southern, some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Can't say I've sampled much of the seafood fare otherwise. Usually get that in Destin, Panama and Pensacola.

Love Great Southern - Best French Dip I have ever had and the shrimp and grits is Awesome!
