I know. It seems particularly bad this evening. It's as if they think they're cool by going on the record as saying it won't happen. In a couple of weeks though... they'll be singing a different tune.

No, then they will swear they never said it and just said they thought prolly not. Ive done had to boot lie 8 ppl off my facebook that literally wanna start a freaking argument over me posting about Gruden. Them acting like they know for fact he's not coming and they are better than I am. But when it happens they will liek I knew it would happen I just didnt wanna say anything.

When Dooley got fired it wasn’t announced until after an embarrassing loss to you guessed it... MIZZOU!! I think this may be along the same lines this time as well. Just think, this program has already been embarrassed and drug through the mud enough, so a bad loss to Mizzou, which I think will happen unfortunately, will be the game that prompts an official announcement of resignation or firing. This is my guess anyways, and it would make sense IMO.

I've had to tell one of my brother's that we'll speak once a new coach is at the podium. He was texting me several times a day with reasons Gruden wouldn't come to TN. He lacks critical thinking skills so he couldn't make the leap.

Reading through 7 pages of pearl-clutching is getting on my nerves.

Legendary: you first brought the comment as to Hubbs saying Butch is trying to save his job. Not that I don't trust you man, but until I see a quote of Hubbs' actual words, I'm not giving that weight.

But even assuming I did, it doesn't really matter in my book. Boro and DTO are being quietly confident, and they surely have reason to be both quiet and confident.

If that's not good enough for you, I'll go ahead and say again: I am 99% certain Jon Gruden will be the head coach at Tennessee before 2017 is over. The 1% is in case of a Gruden heart attack or a meteor strike on Knoxville.

All this other stuff is noise, some planned, some not, but all of it beside the point: Gruden is coming. Wrap your heads around it and relax. Enjoy thinking about the good times that are right around the bend. Or take your meds.

I’m a wrestling coach. Year 15.

I only did the wrestling one year. That is a great sport though. I think every football p l Ayer should do it for the agility and endurance.
I had some great teachers in high school, they helped me. That is why I do it.

Sin City...you and I just sit here and BS on a message board. Is that driven? Is sitting around what drives Gruden? Doubt it. There's a competitive fire that burns in guys like that. Is announcing gonna scratch that itch? No. You wanna make the argument that Pro level supercedes that? I'll listen. But the cushy job thing isn't the factor it would be to you and I.
