From TOS.. And this sounds plausible
"Gruden did not say no. This spin was put out there by the Gruden side and the AD side because they were not happy that it got out that JG and Boosters had already been informally discussing things before Butch had even been fired. JG likes Butch and he is trying to be as respectful to Butch in this process as he can. He wants to make it clear he did not campaign for this job and he was approached by UT people, not the other way around. JG is a classy guy, he is trying to adhere to an unwritten code of conduct between coaches and friends.
As UT fans we should know about this better than anyone. Fulmer \ Majors ring a bell? JG wants this process to play out in a respectful manner. He never said no, that is complete bullsh!t."
Wish I new man. Maybe nothing but a warning bell went off in my head after one of his posts and I haven't been able to jump back into his fan club.
It might not even affect us but I believe he's getting something out of this and using us to do it.
To our defense, we've haven't really ever witnessed UT being great. I was 6 years old when UT won a championship and wasn't even a fan of football at the time. I didn't start following UT football until the last years of Fulmer. Being a millennial we are used to letdown, after letdown when it comes to this administration hiring anyone that we don't have to Google because it's what we are accustomed too. You older folks got to see some of the best years in the history of our program and got to witness it first-hand. You grew up with UT being great. We grew up with UT being mediocre.
To the bold part...I have been patient, I've honestly didn't stop supporting Butch until after the UGA game. I gave him chance after chance. Hell, I defended him after the Florida game, a game that he should have won. I was patient for 5 years. Us millennials, just like other generations on here are hanging on to every word and any type of hope that we can when it comes to Gruden coming. We want to see Tennessee great just like the other generations got to witness.
Fits my narrative to a "T". Soon!!!From TOS.. And this sounds plausible

Furthermore, if we believe the narrative, almost 40% of the $ for phase 1 disappears if they buck the Gruden hire.
The $340,000,000 vote was basically a yes to Gruden. All's that's left is to tie up loose ends and make a couple announcements.
All in due time. All in due time.
JMHO IMHO BBQ
Yeah Im scared. 🙄
Im not a millennial either. I get tired of entitlement ruling the country. Equality and transparency? What does that even mean??? Sounds made up.
Lets bring it back to this thread. Too many people feel entitled to information and come in here calling people out when they dont get it or when it isnt what they want to hear when they want to hear it. Information is presented and you live with it. Oh Beav, please drop us a nugget! Or Hey Boro, have you heard anything today even though you said 62 times already you havent? Or every time something happens, you can actually hear the panic attacks reverberate across the board. So lets say this: Im equally as disappointed in our team this year but in my transparency, I believe itll get better-soon.

So what are your thought on Frost? :hi:
Good coach.
Just not for Tennessee as a primary option. Would rather see him in Nebraska where we don't face them. I'd prefer UF hire someone entirely inept.
Twas a blue font post.lol:
I'm with you ... but i will say it's 2 things (the reason some respond the way you've described):
1) disappointment from 2012 = gunshy 2017
2) battered vol syndrome
i've flipped out a little once or twice myself, but by and large, i agree with you. i'm starting to believe this will play out after vandy. jmo, i know nothing.
I don't think it was a blue font post.
I think he's serious, and I agree with him.
Frost is an intriguing candidate, but not what we need at this time. The window for up and coming experiments has closed.
